At Wizard World Comic Con in Des Moines, Iowa this past weekend, Stan Lee's assistant had to whisper in his ear and stop him from revealing the identity of a major character appearing in Avengers: Infinity War.
According to GameZone, Stan reportedly teased that "multiple characters", who fans would be pleased to see, would be making their debut in Infinity War. The most logical assumption would be that Lee was referring to Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel, however her inclusion is hardly a secret at this point.
Of course Carol's debut also means that there's a strong possibility that the general audience will be introduced to Kree military scientist
Mar-Vell, the individual who inadvertently gives Carol her powers. However, the film's screenwriter has already stated that they would be
shying away from that origin as it shares too many similarities to
Green Lantern's origin story.
Another logical
Marvel character that could potentially make their debut would be
Adam Warlock. However,
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 director James Gunn has already ruled out
Warlock's appearance in
Infinity War despite the classic cosmic characters tease during the end credits of the most recent MCU film.
Keep in mind, Peter Dinklage still has an unconfirmed role in
Avengers: Infinity War, as does motion capture performer Terry Notary,
who's previously teased that he portrays Thanos' right-hand man. While most fans are speculating that Dinklage is playing
Pip the Troll and Notary is portraying someone in the Mad Titan's
Black Order, it should be noted that Notary previously portrayed Abomination in the
Incredible Hulk.
