@antman8o8

Still prefer the classic Spidey suit. I'm sure the Iron Spider will look great on the big screen, tho.

Has anyone else noticed it seems Tom got a haircut just for the promo photos? His hair is much longer in all the footage we've seen of him in the actual movie. Unless Peter gets a haircut randomly at some point in the movie, seems weird that they wouldn't stay consistent with the movie visually for the marketing.

@incredibleTalk - I understand haha. There's also people like that for each movie. It was really bad with Black Panther. There were people all over my campus wearing BP shirts with no clue about the wider MCU. That really got on my nerves haha

@CaptainBing - @incredibleTalk I totally get what you guys mean but when you think about it it's no different than how it works with the comics universe. Theres all sorts of different people in the world with unique personalities, like, and dislikes. Hence why making a comic universe with multiple different characters so there are multiple different entry points is so brilliant, because you get the reader interested in the one character then when a crossover happens you introduce the reader to other characters while they were just reading to see what would happen to their favorite character.

There will be plenty of people who only saw Black Panther but now love the character soo much they will go see Infinity War and realize that BP is just 1 amazing part of this vast Marvel Cinematic Universe full of interesting characters.

That's indirect marketing for your ass right there son.

@LongMayHeReign - You've a good point. BP is the gateway drug for some people, to get into the MCU!
Iron man 1 was mine but what made me really LOVE the MCU had to be Winter Soldier. I geeked out to Avengers sure but Winter Soldier solidified to me that a comic book movie can be part of a large universe and also have really good Dark-Knight type quality to it

LongMayHeReign - 4/2/2018, 10:06 AM
@Vigor - My guy how did you get into my brain? That's exactly my entry point, favorite MCU film, and feelings on said film.

To me Winter Soldier is in my top 3 films ever. While I really liked Cap after TFA, I loved him after Winter Soldier. The Russos did such a great job at showing significant character growth with him. After that film and then Black Panther my top 3 all time characters became Hulk,Cap,BP in that order.

The MCU really is something special that ANYONE can enjoy.

@LongMayHeReign - Yes I think between their writing duo and the Russo brothers, they've struck gold. Pay those men anything they ask for.

@Pantherpool - Not even a fan Of Iron Man, but, i saw IM (2008) again and, that movie is pure gold. It's gonna be always a top.

@Vigor - Apparently the writers (Markus and McFeely) are partnering with the Russos for their new production company so I think they might be done with the MCU after Avengers 4 unfortunately.

@LongMayHeReign - I'm not sure how I feel about this :/
LongMayHeReign
LongMayHeReign - 4/2/2018, 11:14 AM
@Vigor - I look at it like this, from what I understand their company was going to have an exclusive deal with Fox to distribute their films. So now with Disney buying Fox that would mean that they would remain under the Disney umbrella. My thinking is they take 4-5 years off from the MCU then maybe Disney/Feige asks Markus and McFeely to write a very important script for them. At that time I'm guessing the Russos company will have produced maybe 5-6 films at that point and maybe they want to get back in the MCU to put their stamp on a character that they really have a vision for. Or maybe one of the brothers wants to come back while the other continues to run their company.

To me its a win-win because you never want a creative to stay on 1 franchise for too long because the creative juices need to be replenished, so they take a break give us some great films in other genres, meanwhile the door remains open for an eventual return when they are ready.

This also gives Feige a chance to find more under the radar talent to add to the MCU and groom them into Avengers quality directors like he did with the Russos. Very exiting times ahead in my opinion.

@LongMayHeReign - I agree with you completely man. I shouldn't have said "get on my nerves" but I guess it was just something I noticed.

I'm excited for all of the Black Panther fans to witness Infinity War and hopefully be drawn into the MCU even further!

@incredibleTalk -

Don't you want Infinity War and to a larger extent the MCU to have continued success and financial growth? Because without that they will scale back and not keep giving us these great film experiences.

Never forget at the end of the day the film industry is a business and if the people at the top don't see significant profit for their investment...well...then we get the DCEU and all it's problems.

What I've always loved about spiderman is the neighborhood hero feel he has. It'll be like a fight between fantastic four and somebody and since it's in NY, and that's down the street from spidey ... he swings in to help. And he will appear in any body's comic book! He did Deadpool before Deadpool was come to be.
I wonder if theyll do that here, when iron man meets up with strange/wong/banner in NY. Battle occurs outside and here comes spidey, swinging
