Just recently I got some news that really upset me. EDWARD NORTON HAS BEEN DROPPED FROM AVENGERS! And for reasons I don't really understand. The situation with Marvel movies has really been ticking me off lately: first with dropping Raimi and Maguire from Spider-Man and now this! (I know that they are two different studios but I'm still upset by it.)

I think the reason Marvel gave was that Norton was too hard to deal with and didn't want to share the spotlight; or wasn't in the team spirit or something like that. Norton's people claim that Marvel just stopped contacting him. All in all, the situation isn't completely clear. And we probably just have as much chance at figuring this out as we have finding out the true story behind re-casting Terrence Howard in IRON MAN 2. Admittedly Don Cheadle didn't do a bad job. What makes this worse is that Hulk is a lead character, and Norton did a great job in the 2008 film THE INCREDIBLE HULK. And I want to see sequels to INCREDIBLE HULK, and I don't know if they'll do them without him.

The studio says that they will use a name actor in the role, and the big rumor is Mark Ruffalo. I honestly don't think I've seen this guy in anything so I have no view on his acting, but I do have a personal pick for the man to replace Norton. And that is

ADRIEN BRODY

I have no idea how you're going to react to this, but I think he is the best choice for the role if Norton must be replaced. He, like Norton, is a very talented actor, and has gotten a lot of critical acclaim during his career (including winning an Oscar). He definitely has the right look and build for Bruce Banner, and has the acting capability. He recently proved how great he can be in an action film, playing Royce in the recently released PREDATORS. And like AVENGERS, there was a pretty big ensemble cast in that, working with the likes of Danny Trejo, Topher Grace, Alice Braga, Laurence Fishburne, and others.

Now as I said earlier, this is a recasting that I don't think should happen, but if it has to he's my pick.

So what's your view on Norton being fired? Who is your choice to takeover the role of Bruce Banner?

Both actors Adrian, and Mark are both great picks, and they're actually very similar in acting styles, very low key, not flashy, but you pay attention when they're on screen, they actually both star opposite each other in "The Brothers Bloom" a decently funny movie.
Now I'm not trying to be an ass but havent we beaten the shit out of this whole Ed Norton vs Marvel thing yet, is there nothing else going on in CBM land?

@Anil, don't get me wrong, its not that I don't want to know more about it, it's just theres nothing new being developed out of the story its just more of the same ol', same ol'. I would just like that if theres going to be an article let it have some new information and I don't consider debating casting choices as "new news" seeing as everyone is debating this in the comment sections on every article Hulk related or not! :)
