RealIrOnMaN of spidermedia.ru has revealed some new promotional pictures and information regarding Hasbro's upcoming marketing push for The Avengers, which is set to hit theaters in 2012.

Hasbro is making a big push for the upcoming Marvel movies starting with "Thor" and the "The First Avenger: Captain America" in 2011.

Hasbro broke these down as Iron Man: The Armored Avenger, Thor: The Mighty Avenger and The First Avenger: Captain America and you will see these themes pop up on Hasbro's packaging in 2011.

* Hasbro have said there will be an additional 6-inch Marvel Legends figures exclusive released in 2011, but they have not yet revealed any further details.

* Hasbro plan a big return for the 6-inch Marvel Legend figures in 2012. Although Hasbro haven't revealed many details but they have said that with the power of all these big movies on the way from Marvel, now seems to be the right time to bring them back.

Although it's unlikely, the fact that the packaging for the Iron Man range of action figures features the "Avengers Assemble" logo, along with the other promotional image above, makes me wonder whether this might end up being the armor see in the movie especially as he picture and packaging are seemingly being used in the build up to the release of The Avengers. However, the ever reliable RealIrOnMaN has also confirmed that Marvel Studios are currently working on a new design for the suit, so I'd advise listening to him before my idle speculation! Be sure to share your thoughts though in the usual place!

Does anyone else notice that Iron Man doesn't have the crappy gray in his armor like he did in the Mark V? Hopefully the Avengers keeps it all red and gold. Stick with the 616 Marvel!!

I am not sure but I think that Avengers logo is fan made?

Nice stuff Josh! I so think that the Iron Man figure should have a small light in the chest and palms of the hands.

Check out my Superman Villains Poll in the Features tab

@MrAnonymous - It should be :

Hawkeye - The Smartass Avenger
Black Widow - The Makes Guys Jizz In Their Pants Avenger

@indoraptor12 - The red and silver armor is 616. Tony Stark wore it during part of the 80's.

@01carterg - I hope so! Since they want Tony to be an advisor he'll probably be on the helicarrier watching the Avengers getting their ass kicked before he shows up in the Hulkbuster armor to save the day.

I say we see the Modular Iron Man armor. HAHAHA!!!

The one we've seen in Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, and the one from the series.

It just looks awesome.

@Havok, I think there is a very good reason Hulk isn't in that circle. Loki isn't in that circle either...

Lol, Brashlight - I've posted more news about action figures/merchandise this week than I have since joining CBM. Still, there's no way I'm complaining when its as cool as the images and info above! Oh, and I'll be buying all these awesome things for myself before you I'm afraid despite that hypnotic avatar of yours! :D
Brashlight
Brashlight - 1/3/2011, 10:57 AM
JoshW@ Damn, you didn't fall to the hypnosis! My plan has failed, NOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Hamm@ I hightly doubt it, that is the bleeding edge technology suit they have created for the new heroic age comics. They haven't even done an avengers movie yet. That will likely be in the 3rd instalment if they have one.

indoraptor, Iron Man's red and silver armor is part of the 616 Universe.
OldManLogan
OldManLogan - 1/3/2011, 11:56 AM
@StrangerX Yes sir. I'm aso guessing that Hawkeye will not have the presence that many fans want him to have nad that Black Widow remains a tertiary role with SHIELD and not an active member of the Avengers.

Check out the cross-promotion. This is a shot from the opening of the animated series. As you can see, it uses a variation of the same logo.

Mark V was niice, but mark VI shouldn't have the gray parts..
if they take them of, that's good enough.. it's like a mark IV with a triangle instead of a circle
