There’s has been a lot of talk over the past few years about Wesley Snipes possibly reprising his role as Blade. Even though we’d all love to see another film made, a TV show is a more likely catergory for the Daywalker. While all the talk is centered around Snipes and Blade, many speculate that Snipes will play another character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, mainly T’Chaka - the father of the T’Challa A.K.A. the Black Panther (played by Chadwick Boseman).

In a recent interview with the Huffington Post, Snipes shined some more light on the possibility of another Blade film. “There's always a possibility, you know. It's in Marvel's hands. They're controlling the pace and the flow with that. Conversations have been good. They see the value in it. We see the value in it," He then reveals how he’s still in shape, and up for the role. “I'm still in shape enough and fit enough to handle the role. We'll see how it goes. I don't really know what's going to happen to it yet."

If Wesley were to reprise his role as Blade in the MCU, he would eventually have to team up with the Avengers! Snipes shared his thoughts on that, and jokingly revealed that he’d have to bite someone. "That would be interesting. I mean, I know it's in the comic book. It would be interesting to see where they would place him and where he really would fit in. He's got to bite somebody. I don't know who he's going to bite." After the host cut in, he joked some more and name dropped Scarlett Johansson as a worthy contender on who Blade would bite. What do you think? Would you like to see another Blade film? Yes to Blade but no to Snipes. Get someone younger.

Get a white guy to play Blade this time.

My God SuperCat. Could you turn off your bigotry for one day?

Confession: I haven't seen any of the Blade movies all the way through. Any chance these could somehow be made canon in the MCU? Ideas?

The sequel to "To Wong Foo" is what we really want!

Not that I'd really want them to be canon. I'd like Blade to be a little truer to his comic book counterpart than Snipes' Blade and origins.

Isn't Ernie Hudson confirmed for T'Chaka?

Here's the deal:

I like the idea of Snipes returning to the role, but not as a Blade film. I liked the rumor that the new Blade would focus on his daughter, and Snipes would take on the role of the aging mentor.

I think this would make a great Netflix series, which could be tied in to the films and the other Netflix series.

I dunno. What do y'all think?

Too old to play Blade, but he could have a role.

I'd like to hear what Feige or Loeb has to say about Blade.

HE'S....LYING

Would be waaaay better as a Netflix series. I'm ready for a British blade...true to his origins

He must be talking about Blade III, for what I've read about the production, he was so high, he might not have known the movie was already made.

Blade doesn't fit into the MCU as it is.

I'd say put him in the Netflix series with continuous appearances like Rosario Dawson's character, or give him his own series.

Or put him in Spider-Man and do a Morbius storyline.

@jeight

JK Sims is definitely one of the few pre-MCU actors I'm down with for continuation (and I think a lot of people on this site would agree). He actually does do the JJ voice for Ultimate Spider-Man/Avengers Assemble/Agents of SMASH.

i'd like to see him in a marvel role, not Blade thought get a new younger actor. i like the idea that he has a daughter, and he's her mentor. Netflix is the best platform for Blade to return.

@jeight

JK Simmons is the only actor deserving to return to his role as JJ.

@Jeight- I get what you saying but I would assume Nick Fury would know about vampires. And the MCU would have to go back and explain why they weren't mentioned before.

Bringing the paranormal into the MCU would be an awesome thing. I myself would love to see an X-files style TV series set in the MCU. Or at least a paranormal story arc in AOS.

Get someone else. I enjoyed the Blade films but it's a new universe and we need a new Blade for the new universe trying to shove the old Blade into it would be a mistake in my opinion.

@Jeight- In the 1st Blade he said that Vampires ran a big part of the word and remember a "Vampire God" almost took over the world, let alone that vampire plague that broke out in the 2nd one. I think anyone of those two would grab Nick Furys attention.

I don't get why Marvel hasn't done this yet... Why don't they open up a different side studio that releases rated R movies for rated R characters. Heck! Reboot Ghost Rider, add some Punisher and Blade and you could still keep it in the MCU.
