He’s in. He’s out. He’s back in again. Crispin Glover is reportedly still in the running to play the Joker in the sequel to Batman Begins.

So says a studio insider who told Legions of Gotham "fan favorite Crispin Glover IS being highly considered for the role of Joker by WB at this point. He IS a contender. It means NOTHING in terms of final or even preliminary casting, so don't get too excited...but to me, its really nice to see that WB has their head in the right place in casting the clown prince of crime and is obviously listening to the fans. Kudos WB!"

Meanwhile, at $200 million domestically, Batman Begins is now officially the second highest grossing film of the franchise and the third highest grossing film of the year.

The film surpassed Joel Schumacher's directed sequel Batman Forever--not accounting for ticket price inflation, according to Box Office Mojo.

Its total domestic gross is more than four times its opening weekend, a rarity for genre films.
