My Idea for the Next Batman Movie

My Idea for the Next Batman Movie

They want to have the same success they did with TDK, this is how....

I believe they need to get away from the normal path of the batman movies sort of like with TDK but bigger. Get away from going to catwoman, robin, normal bad guys etc...
My suggestion is to go with a team up with another DC hero, maybe a team up with Flash, The Green Lantern, Wonder Woman etc (JLA anyone?)... Then go with a bad guy(s) that has never been seen in batman movies before, my suggestions would be Clayface, Mad Hatter, Man-Bat or a JLA enemy etc... Use the same dark theme as TDK and ofcourse keep something from the base batman story arc but do something different, also would be a good chance to lead into JLA (look at Marvel, they are doing it right with The Avengers).
Ofcourse they could always go the NightWing/Batman Beyond route but thats for whole another time. That is my suggestion and i am sticking to it.

mmmm... thats not really keeping with the whole idea of nolan's Batman. he is taking the realistic approach. he even said it in an interview, that he isn't even going to hint at a supperman figure because its not real and said that no one would believe in a little fat dude in a top hat like peguin. so what makes you think that they would even consider anything JLA?? i think ur idea is a little far fetched and very much off the ideas nolan is going with. keep in mind that they are making these kind of movies for the genral public not just die hard fans like us, using villans that we and other people already know. this is a good think i mean look what he did with scarecrow and the JOKER!! i cant friggin wait to see who's next and how they try and make them real.. so real that it is believiable enough that they could live next door..

I agree with Mankind. It is definetely a realistic approach I mean no one in these movies really has any superpowers. And If they wanna continue with a serious approach, they should continue with another character who doesn't have superpowers...

Personally, I would like to see a new villain though actually. It'd be nice...

Thats the whole problem, they will make 4 or 5 of these movies and go the same path as the first series of batmans but never lead to something bigger. Why not lead into JLA, just because Nolan doesnt want to? I know its all about making as much money as they can but why not make a world for DC to use for future projects. Like i said that was just my opinion right or wrong.

Maybe they should do JLA later when they have made more DC movies

OR if they wanna make a JLA movie they COULD either get Bale to play Batman again or they could just go with a completely different actor to play him. I read somewhere that they had people to play JLA (I'm guessing it was false since this was months ago) but Brandon Routh wasn't even playing as Superman. But yeah maybe they should try to work with JLA when the new Superman reboot comes. I mean if it does, they could work it in or something. But I don't think they'd approach it like Marvel is doing. I think after a number of DC comics is made, they're just gonna bust out randomly with a JLA movie. But one thing they should definetely do is keep the same actors that played a certain DC character, just like they're doing with Avengers.

Rcatman23 what you want to see is not a Batman movie, its a Brave and the Bold movie. Look DC hasn't introduce any other superheroes in a live action film, other than Green Arrow, Black Canary, Flash, Aquarman, J'on, Cyborge in Smallville. I do like to see anew villain that hasn't been in a live action batman film yet. so far I've seen Ras Al Goul, Scarecrow, Zasz, for the first time on film. Nolan is bring in characters that would work for his story, and I'm betting I will see Tala Al Goul, Black Mask or someone new in the 3rd one. Rcatman23 Nolan is not doing the same thing with the first Batman films Burton and Schumacher. I'm a huge Batman fan and Ill tell you Batman is not a peoples person and he works alone, many Batman fans don't want to see him hooking up with other DC heroes. Marvel has introduce most of there superheroes in the Marvel world, and they can finally do an Avengers movie or a team up between 2 of there superhero characters, because they have introduce most of the Marvel heroes from the comic books.

Please no for godsakes no JLA. i could possibly see Robin or Nightwing but no way in hell could i see the JLA it just wouldn't fit with Nolan's idea. i pray he does another batman film unfortuantly i find it highly unlikly becuase you would have to bring joker back in there someway and it would be to hard to find someone to replace Ledger. not to mention in Batman begins gordon introduced Joker. no one has been introduced unless and this is a long shot you could use that guy reese who knew who batman was use him as the riddler instead of Edward Nygma. but still that is a longshot so since there was no intro of a new villian and since two-face is dead and the actor who made one of the best jokers on the planet besides Mark Hamill's Voice for the joker is gone there unfortuantly in my eyes can't be another batman after The Dark Knight

i see both sides here. though nolan isn't quite on board for a third batfilm, a third installment would require more of that believably realistic approach along(worked like a charm for iron man) with other measures that have worked for films of this genre. it may take new talent and or extremely crafty scriptwriting but i agree that the next film should reemploy the dark theme as well as dark villains and characters that can match if not come close to the magnitude that we have witnessed thus far. in terms of actors, it just takes the right person. i for one never thought they could find someone to outstrip nicholson's joker yet i find myself quoting ledger's joker in certain conversations "it's not about the money, it's about sending a message." so on that note, it's about finding an actor that can take it there. for instance, consider the non-comedic roles robin williams has done as well as his comedic stuff. he could easily do toyman or even stretch his chops as clock king. ya never know. now as for a jla tie-in, i could only see a longshot possibility for that if during his travels(since bats is now a fugitive on the run) he has been to metropolis, coast city, central city, etc and done what he does best in those places while becoming aware of each city's "guardian angel" but again that is a longshot. i think a logical progression for a third installment is to build and expand thematically from the first two yet stay real, believable and dark. the first film was about conquering fear, facing truth and creating a brand to inspire the downtrodden. the second film was about chance, order, chaos and indeed what does happen when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object. now i realize bats is a loner like wolverine but realistically speaking every one-man show needs a little help: enter robin or nightwing or any of the other members of the "batman family" as they would be properly inspired by his example. how that would be done can be left up to scriptwriters. now i must say one last thing in reference to the penguin and the phillip seymour hoffman post on this site. cobblepot is a very doable character and if they were to actually consider phillip for the role i think he would not only do a bang up job on it but that they could play up penguin's birthname and biography and repackage the tim burton incarnation but fully human and quite pale and a creepy, despicable british gent. i heard a rendition of penguin on the radio grossing out some lady at a dinner with a gruesome story about eating children. he knows judo and a perfect marriage to judo is cane fighting, albeit he would use an umbrella. lastly, making him british gives a perfect excuse for bats to take on a battalion of soccer hooligans. if you've ever seen the film rise of the street soldier, this could make for an awesome visual and it coincides with penguin's preference for using hired muscle and being a criminal genius. or they can use hugo strange and show off arkham asylum and drop tons of tidbits with that approach let alone the various story arcs. they can explore themes like hypocrisy,symbiology,self-righteousness the list goes on.
