Nathan Fillion Bruce Wayne Batman

Castle and Firefly actor Nathan Fillion thinks he'd make a pretty good Bruce Wayne. But what about Batman? "I think I’d make an excellent Bruce Wayne; I think I’d make a terrible Batman," said the fan favorite actor. He poked a little fun at Christian Bale's rendition, adding, "I wonder if my throat could take it."

In a more serious context, Fillion addressed the current trend of fans actively campaigning and petitioning for a favorite actor or actress to get a certain part. "If you wanted to see a particular person as Batman, I think one of the worst things you could do is shove it down someone’s throat as far as the new director of Batman or the new producers of Batman. Probably the worst thing you could do if there’s someone you want to be Batman is sort of rally." Fillion's words ring true as the casting selection for superhero roles tend to be who fans least expect. The popular or obvious choice seldom gets the part.
