Remember the Batman Begins game? Well even though the adaptation to The Dark Knight was cancelled, gamers may be getting a dose of whats to come from Christopher Nolan's new film The Dark Knight Rises, video game style. Check out this clip of an article I found pertaining to the possible game development.

This year's most anticipated film "The Dark Knight Rises" may consider riding the coat tails of video game marketing. Development company "Gameloft" released a list of 2012 mobile game apps that are in development and included was one for Batman's upcoming movie.

Also, while confirmed as a mobile app, it's still a rumor for now about rather it will be a console edition as well. See the info on that below.

Rumors from the UK site MCV spoke about a possible video game adaptation for The Dark Knight Rises. It may come as a full retail release from Warner Bros. Fans are hoping that the latest adaptation will not follow in the footsteps of previous Batman titles. " Batman Begins" the video game did not meet expectations and "The Dark Knight" disbanded its developments before a game was even released. No official word or confirmations have emerged.

So what do you think? Are you looking forward to a game based off of the upcoming film? sound off your thoughts below.

The Dark Knight Rises is an upcoming superhero film directed by Christopher Nolan, who co-wrote the screenplay with his brother Jonathan Nolan and the story with David S. Goyer. Based on the DC Comics character Batman, the film will be the third installment in Nolan's Batman film series, and is a sequel to Batman Begins (2005) and The Dark Knight (2008). The Dark Knight Rises is intended to be the conclusion of the series. It stars Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, and Morgan Freeman. The film will take place eight years after the events of The Dark Knight and will introduce the characters of Selina Kyle and Bane—portrayed by Anne Hathaway and Tom Hardy, respectively—two villains from the Batman mythology.

Just make another Arkham game, It would blow a movie tie-in game out of the water.

I'm not expecting a AAA video game like Arkham City(best superhero game yet).

But if they could make it fun, I'll at least rent it.

I'm much more interested in LEGO Batman 2 though. It's gonna be a purchase for me if it has online co-op.

I hope they do make a game. Though it won't be as good as the Arkham series, I'd really like a chance to mess around with the Tumbler, the Batpod and the Bat.

And who knows, maybe it will expand a bit on the TDKR plot, or the Nolanverse. Since this is the final movie, I don't see why anyone would say no to such a chance...

As everyone else said, Arkham games are THE Batman games, anything else is crap in comparison

We had a perfect Batman game in Arkham Asylum, then we had one of those few sequels that took everything great about the original & added to it, making it better

Now, the next challenge they need to complete, is to make a definitive Batman game set in all of Gotham which the potential third game has the potential to be. I would rather wait another couple of years for that, than some forgettable movie tie-in
