Heath Ledger Wins The Oscar

Heath Ledger Wins The Oscar

Heath Ledger has won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor at the 81 Academy Awards. many of us predicted that he would win. Ledger won for his performance as the Joker in The Dark Knight. He has become the second actor to win an Oscar posthumously, Peter Finch is the only other actor to win one for his portrayal of Howard Beale in Network. Many feel Ledger got the nomination out of pity, but I feel that he earned it for one of the best performances I've seen since the golden years of cinema. His death is a true loss to the film world, and his performances will be missed.

HAWK out.

AWESOME! You and I just posted the same article at the same time. Good job man. If there were ANY doubt about if he were going to win this award or not is ridiculous.

Where's Supermike, becuase I can't WAIT to see him bad mouth Ledger and how this is BS and what not. But, all of us REAL people knew there was no contest whatsoever.

Good Job Hawk.

I can't lie either, I had a few tears. Even while I was writing my version of the article I had some tears. I have loved and enjoyed Heath's work since AFTER "10 Thing I hate About You" although it was a somewhat funny movie, EVERYTHING after that was MUCH better and more profound. So, yea, as a MAN I can say I had some tears. If you didn't, cool. If you did, cool. If you're Supermike, I don't even want to hear it (well, somewhat, you're funny)

It was very much expected, but still moving as a final tribute to a great and wonderful actor we lost amazingly over a year ago.

That is funny Ion. Looking back, we lost alot of great actors this past year. Paul Newman, and Heath Ledger to name a few. It feels like Hollywood won't be quite as bright. I may have cried to if my girlfriend wasn't here, I'd never live it down, never. Hahaha, HAWK out.

Hahaha, it's all good man. You can cry in your sleep, or perhaps while you on the pot. I know how some women think a man who cries is less of a man, but we all do it sometimes. Yes, RIP to the many a entertainer who passed on this year:

Heath Ledger, Paul Newman, Bernie Mac, Isaac Hayes, Eartha Kitt, Arthur C. Clarke, Bettie Page, Sir Edmund Hilary, George Carlin, Roy Scheider, Suzanne Pleschette, Sydney Pollack, Sean Levert and the countless others we lost this year. RIP to all.

She would'nt think less of me... I just don't think I could handle the jokes. I was so emotional tha I couldn't write at my usual capacity which is why the article was short. I had forgotten about Pollack, now there was a legend.

There were so many this last year it was kind of unfathomable...So forgetting a few is understandable.
