Thanks to a heads up from CBMer AiyalKilU we now have more images:

The Dark Knight Rises is an upcoming American superhero film under the development of Christopher Nolan, David S. Goyer, and Jonathan Nolan. Based on the DC Comics character Batman, the film will be the third and final installment in Nolan's Batman film series. The Dark Knight Rises will see the return of Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, and Morgan Freeman as Batman/Bruce Wayne, Alfred Pennyworth, James Gordon, and Lucius Fox, respectively. The film will introduce the characters of Selina Kyle and Bane—portrayed by Anne Hathaway and Tom Hardy—two central characters from the comic books.

Nolan was initially hesitant about returning to the series for a third time, but agreed to come back after developing a story with his brother and David Goyer that he felt would conclude the series on a satisfactory note. Filming has taken place across the world, including locations in India, London, Glasgow, Los Angeles, New York, and Pittsburgh. Nolan is opting to utilize IMAX cameras for more of the filming to optimize the quality of the picture. As with The Dark Knight, viral marketing campaigns began early during production to help promote the upcoming film. The Dark Knight Rises is scheduled for release in the United States and Canada on July 20, 2012, by Warner Bros.

WHY has WB and Hollywood stuck with the same old Black Batman Costume look since the first Batflick in 1989...
The Arkham Asylum Video game is the BEST EVER costume designed that would translate to the Cinema so well...
I cannot wait until someone brings this costume to the cinema screen...

the worst thing Bale did for Begins was gain more mass than needed... cause it only made fanboys complain that he should get back to that shape again for TDK and this one

Maybe this " good ending" to the series Nolan is talking about all the time is merely making the movie so terrible that know one wants another batman movie...

Clearly the last pic shows how big bale really is. But being fit is not all about being huge. When you fight as much as Batman does you do become slimmer, that's why it is logical that he bulked up in the beginning of his career but gradually lost mass due to less eating and sleeping. You see this all the time with soldiers when going into war they have the mass but after a while in the battlefield they start to lose it, the lack of sleep and proper meals does that to you, but they don't lose any of their strength because they are constantly on the move.

WorldsGreatestdetective: i think that has something to do with it BUT
to all whom beech and whine about his skinniness: we are only seeing pictures. my guess is that he is buff in the beginnging, and then bane EFs him up. he comes back and is in bad condition because if someones in the hospital for a while, their muscles lose mass, and bones get weaker. he's wearing a bigger suit to make it look like he is weaker, but he is going to rise to the battle and beat bane

Bale is big enough. Besides, it's impossible for someone with his build to look like he can bench 800lbs. Even the comic book version of Batman doesn't look that big. Same goes for Captain America, those guys are supposed to be as strong as humanly possible, if that were true they'd each be 6' and over 300lbs.

We can see from the last pic that Bale is in damn good shape. His arms look pretty big and well defined even at a distance. Hopefully people will stop shut up about Bale looking too thin. He just needs a good tailor!

People make me laugh by always assuming, these are pictures and when movies are made actors go through many different ways of preparing for a role & many people sit and make nonsense comments about Bale's weight.

For those who understand the preparation of the film this is not towards U but for those who keep complaining listen Christian Bale is one of the most accomplished, dedicated & established actors ever. He has transformed his body many of times even during films.

When he shot Batman Begins he was tired yes & even slept during downtime but when his time came to shoot he was ready each time. Bale's life even resembled Bruce Wayne/Batman in so many wayz such as preparing his body getting worn down and still coming back fighting hard.

Every time now when actors loose lots of weight they are always compared to Bale in the Machinist. Bale did not win a Oscar for nothing, he won it because he is a smart & God gifted actor & many of U still doubt him & Nolan for what they can do.

Bottom line I guess it is like they say when U become champion everyone wants a shot at U I mean Batman Begins had a successful run at the box office & The Dark Knight broke records and had some of its records broken but it still has the record of highest CMB of all time. There are many great movies & records but seeing what TDK did from beginning to end & how the world monitored it run even up against Titanic's record was an honor.

It worked because of Batman, Nolan's craftsmenship & blueprint, cast & crew. The film was already being predicted by fans and critics to break box office records and that was way before Heath Ledger passed (of course respectfully saying, Ledger was awesome.

Then I read up here the other day "Nolan's Batman has run it's course"....What?!!! Some make it sound like he has made the same number of Batman films as Star Wars, James Bond & Harry Potter "all do respect to those films because they are great & worthy franchises!"

The Nolans has only thus far completed two Batman films & now near completion on a third, if anything there has not been enough of Nolan's Batman. Nolan help resurrect Batman bigger and better than ever as well as give DC Comics mainstream popularity in the film medium again.

"It's to realistic" some say well that is how Batman was created & later dealt with fantasy. I know if Nolan wants to he could create a fantasy Batman world but many don't want to realize this is a masterpiece trilogy of the man who became Bat and his beginning, fall, & rise.

Bottomline is this is the best CMB franchise to date in my & many others if not all opinion & the numbers and voices prove it.

The Dark Knight Legend continues on ;-)
