COMICS: Marvel Takes Another Shot At The "Martha" Scene From BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE

If you thought Marvel's last dig at the infamous "Martha!" scene from Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice was on the nose, wait until you see this panel from one of their recent X-Men comic books...

Back in June, Marvel took a not-so-subtle swipe at the oft-derided "Martha" scene from Batman V Superman in the pages of Spider-Man/Deadpool, and now they're at it again - only this time it couldn't be any more blatant.

As you can see for yourselves below, just before Domino takes out a couple of goons in Uncanny X-Men Annual #1, one tells the other about some guy he couldn't bring himself to kill because their mothers share the same name. You guessed it: Martha.

Personally, I thought this scene worked well and think it goes a lot deeper than Batman hesitating to land the killing blow simply because his mother is also called Martha - but, the majority of fans feel it deserves the backlash, so there's bound to be a few CBMers that get a kick out of this.

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is out of DVD and Blu-ray now.

@MattBellissimo - Come on dude. It's funny. Only the Deadpool side of Marvel can get away with this type of banter. His character literally is a walking meme.
