The Latest On BATMAN VS SUPERMAN'S Batmobile

You may remember my article back in October in which I reported that GM is designing the new Batmobile set to be driven by Ben Affleck's Batman. Well, the same source, "Dr. Detroit" (a friend of Batman On Film), is back with a few more inside details for us.

"I was informed that the Batmobile is actually being designed and built in Warren, Michigan at GM's famed 'Studio X' - the auto industry's equivalent of Fort Knox. Or the first rule of FIGHT CLUB...
The Batmobile will then be finished at the GM Advanced Design Studio in North Hollywood by February. I believe this is where the car will be tested and stunt drivers trained before the car is transported back to Detroit for filming."

Don't forget that it's supposedly based on the design for an old-style Cadillac. Principal photography begins in February, so we won't have to wait much longer for our first look. I'm more excited to see the new Batsuit, but I can't wait to see this either.

Batman Vs. Superman/ Man of Steel 2, or whatever it may be called, stars Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. It opens in theaters July 17, 2015.

Good to know it won't be a [frick]ing tank. That bugged me in Nolan's movies. The Batpod was the only thing that was sleek and fluent.

Yeah that sounds pretty good OldGreg. Rather than everything being entirely black they need to incorporate some colour int this Batman. Grey, blue, black maybe a bit of yellow/gold somewhere. That'd be perfect.

I put the picture from All-Star Batman and Robin at the bottom for effect. That's not what the car in the film looks like.

Why so much hate for the tumbler, it was the perfect vehicle for Batman, considering all the things it was able to do on film, and the fact that it was a tank. I mean come on how many superheroes drive a tank? Just makes Batman even cooler.

Great news but whats with all these copy cat users? I see multiple Gusto's and I recently saw a weird patriotic Ciper. This site has gone nuts.

Awesome. Hopefully the new design for The Batmobile will look different from The Nolan films.

I love the Nolan trilogy of Batman and i dont mind the tumbler, batcycle and the bat but it would be great if the new Batman would differentiate itself from Nolans Batman.

All previous live action Batmobiles have sucked ass. and as much as I like the New 52 Batman Comics I HATE the current Batmobile in said comics. I don't get why they can still use the design from the Bruce Timm continuity.

Give us the yellow oval with midnight blue and grey and I will finally see the Neal Adams,Jim Aparo Batman that first got me intp comics back in the 70's realized on screen.

The plain huge black bat is cool, but its not as iconic as the yellow oval emblem which makes more sense on an armored suit.In a close in fight stealth goes out the window.

Batman wants bad guys to aim for his chest not his head since its the most heavy armored part of the suit. Under stress, the yellow would draw the eyes and the aim towards it.

@jediphilosopher- I had a banshee hot wheel when I was a kid that I painted black. It was my Batmobile. I too thought it was perfect for Bats.
