BLOODSHOT: There's No Sign Of The Character's Classic Look In These Action-Packed First Trailers

As promised, the first trailer for Bloodshot is finally here and while it doesn't shy away from showing off plenty of awesome action, fans might be disappointed by the apparent lack of comic book accuracy!

It's been a long time coming, but the first trailer (well, trailers; we also have an international version) for Bloodshot has arrived.

As you can see, the movie definitely appears to be sticking to the source material in terms of the character's origin story and it looks like a premise this big screen adaptation will have an awful lot of fun with. However, there's absolutely no sign of Bloodshot's classic comic book appearance, and while that's something they could be saving for the movie itself (we have seen that both in promo art and an action figure), not including so much as a single shot in this teaser seems like a sure fire way to upset fans!

As a result, this does come across like just another Vin Diesel action movie, but there's a lot of promising looking moments and it's fair to say Bloodshot could end up surprising us.

We'll have to wait and see. For now, check out these new trailers below:

We will see the classic look in the second trailer, as with Venom.

@Repian - Probably wont look like that until the very end of the movie

Repian - 10/21/2019, 2:02 AM
@dracula - Perhaps at the end of the movie, Bloodshot receives a great beating and his Battle Damage look is similar to the classic look of the character.

@Repian - Then he will go back to looking like normal Vin Desil before the credits role

Didn't Sony already make a shitty Robocop remake? Why another so soon lmao

@tmp3 - I was thinking the same thing! this is a cross between Robocop reboot and that first-person action movie with the dude from District 9 (both the movie title and the actor escape me)...as of right now, hard pass

@CWBNGAJEEPGUY85 - Charlto Copley is the actor, no idea about the movie (but it was a fun watch).

@8thDoctor @CWBNGAJEEPGUY85 - Hardcore Henry, I never watched that flick, is it worth the watch? It looked like it'd give me motion sickness lmao

@Fishandchips - it was a little weird for me

@Fishandchips - It's a fun watch! Totally recommend watching it once, but as CWBNGA said, it's on the weird side. For what it's worth, I didn't get motion sickness and I think the movie slows down frequently enough to help with that.

I sweat to God i didn't know who made this and the constant vibe i got from watching this was Venom.

Imagine my non-surprise to find out it's a Sony film....

Jeight8
Jeight8 - 10/21/2019, 1:40 AM
@Krav - Dude, it's Sony. The studio who puts every final Spider-man shot in their movie trailers.

Why are you suprised?
dracula
dracula - 10/21/2019, 1:41 AM
@Krav - Yeah, with some there was still some mystery, but with this, it looks so generic, im pretty sure anyone could predict whats going to happen from begining to end and they will be right more than half the time

@Krav - On the plus side, we just saved fifteen bucks 👍🏻
Mclane

Has Vin lost the will to get in great shape again, he's strong but he's chubby, not the same Vin from Pitch Black (yeah I know its years ago but others keep in great shape).

The poster shows him ripped and yet he's anything but.....NOT comic book accurate and like the beach scene in the last triple X, a little embarrassing :)

Do I care if he's ripped, not really but as he's paid big bucks from our arses on seats then he could at least try..
dracula
dracula - 10/21/2019, 1:40 AM
Im guessing the organization is responsible for his death and his wife is still alive and working for the organization. Never read the comics, before this movie was in development never even heard of it. Seems very generic, very 90's
Mclane
Mclane - 10/21/2019, 1:42 AM
@dracula - I just saw Fast and Furious meets Terminator...Very meh...

@Mclane - Remember when that series was about racing with a bit of crime stuff......now you might as well call it xXx.
TheUnworthyThor

@dracula - Very 90’s?

newhire13
newhire13 - 10/21/2019, 8:30 AM
@dracula - People keep saying that but it was always about criminals who are into cars. The entire premise of the first one was Paul Walker’s character going undercover to find out if Vin Diesel’s character was the guy high jacking trucks. Only things that changed is that their crimes got bigger. And they eventually became “good guys.”
dracula
dracula - 10/21/2019, 1:42 AM
Looks like just another generic action flic
ClintKent
ClintKent - 10/21/2019, 1:48 AM
Why even bother calling it Bloodshot. I hate Hollywood and how they pervert our comicbook characters. Might as well put him in all black too.
TheUnworthyThor
TheUnworthyThor - 10/21/2019, 2:11 AM
I liked the trailer but yeah considering how mega popular superheroes are at the moment you might want to highlight that fact with his very superhero classic look in the trailers.

Looks interesting, good action, but why not show his comic-book form?

Also, I need an Excedrin after viewing that trailer, it was going back and forth way too much, lol.
