In addition to Geoff Johns role as DC Comics' Chief Creative Officer, he also serves as a consultant on the DCEU films and writes scripts for several DCTV shows. Johns is also rumored to be working on the script for the solo Batman film with Ben Affleck. As far as plans for both the DCTV and DCEU slate, Johns is probably one of a select number of people who has insider information. Which means, when he says there are big plans in the work for Booster Gold, he's not just blowing smoke. With a "beloved superhero" set to appear in the season finale of DC's Legends of Tomorrow, he seems like a likely candidate. Or will WB find a spot for Booster to appear in the DCEU film slate?
"You’ll see [Booster Gold] very soon, and there’s talks about…there’s actually a lot of plans for Booster Gold, one of my favorite characters. But yeah, Booster Gold fans, you will definitely be happy with what we’ve got coming up in the years ahead."
A Beloved Superhero Will Appear In The LEGENDS OF TOMORROW Finale, Setting Up Season 2
Does "years ahead" indicate that Booster won't be appearing on TV screens or in film for quite a while? Speculation on Johns comments further, it's likely that Booster will show up "very soon" in the comics, and that "there's talks" about Booster showing up on either the DCEU or DCTV slate.
