TheLeftovers Predict Captain America: Civil War's Opening Day & Weekend Gross.

Less than a month away until Captain America: Civil War, and TheLeftovers predict the previews, opening day, and weekend total for the hotly anticipated superhero film

Editorial Opinion
By TheLeftovers - Apr 09, 2016 12:04 PM EST

CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR is just a month  away (AHHH!) and The Leftovers has calculated the box office gross for this hotly anticipated film.  By using his fingers, he has entered the database of Box Office tickets, calculated how many tickets have been sold; times it by the average price of a ticket; and released the data here -- exclusively to ComicBookMovie.com

please note; this is done solely for entertainment purposes. Numbers will change upon release of the film due to more ticket sales; or less (if the reviews are bad; similar to BvS)   Hope you enjoyed my predictions.

There you have it, Captain America: Civil War is heading for a $181M opening which would knock Batman v Superman down to number 8 on the Top Box Office Weekend Openers.

I'll be seeing this next week at a special screening. If I like it enough I'll gladly pay to see it on the official opening day.

@TheLeftovers,

This is really interesting. I think you could for sure go more in depth about how you calculated your numbers in this article, but I really would like to see more of this kind of stuff show up on here. A lot of user content on this site seems to be reviews of the movies that say the same things we've heard in the comment section a hundred times, or the typical fancasts/fanfics that seem really cliched.

Good read, lets see more in the future!
