A few weeks ago, Co-Publisher of DC Entertainment, Jim Lee, announced the mysterious and confusing DC Comics: Rebirth. Until now, many have speculated that this meant DC would reboot their comic book lineup and wipe the slate clean from the New 52, but CCO Geoff Johns took to Instagram to make it clear that this latest initiative is not a reboot. If Rebirth is not a reboot, what is it? Let us know your theories in the comments below.

Maybe it is a semi-reboot. Either old and New 52 mould into a new universe but numbering continues or the old universe is coming back for a mini-series or fully.

Maybe just the old Superman is coming back.

I think it's pretty obvious that it's teasing Operation: Rebirth. Captain America's joining the DC universe. Solved.

Hopefully it's a relaunch instead, DC comics really needs it right now.

If they really want me to start buying their comics again they need to stop with events, gimmicks and over saturation of Batman centric titles.

The Earth One Books and Injustice Comics were the only things I was buying prior to this announcement.

Well i guess I'm saving my money. I'm not buying this "it's not a reboot" bullshit and this literally clears nothing. Considering that convergence shit bomb i expected a dc rep to give an official statement regarding this to get fans back on board, but this is just another [frick] you to the fans. Fire dan didio or talk his fat ass into early retirement, I'm tired of smelling bullshit

@Jollem i need them to do better. I cant BELIEVE they let superman without his powers again for a whole [frick]ing year! No dude, they need to know their is a certain standard. I miss buying my comics but i will not support this mediocrity.

This news is depressing. It would have been nice if there was another remake. Use a lot of the stuff people liked from the Pre New 52 and the few things that worked about the New 52 too. Plus even look at what has worked from the animated tv series too. This way the new reboot has the best from all the worlds.
