The Flash Vol. 1: Move Forward Graphic Novel

This week we're giving away two copies of The Flash: Vol. 1: Move Forward graphic novel! Check out the rules below to find out how you can win your very own copy in your choice of platform! Barry Allen comes alive in the Scarlet Speedster's New 52 reboot thanks to Francis Manapul and Brian Buccellato.

"The Flash will be one of the runaway hits of this reboot--and could eventually become one of the great runs of American superhero comics."— Time Out Chicago

Struck by a bolt of lightning and doused in chemicals, Central City police scientist Barry Allen was transformed in to the Fastest Man Alive. But there are some things even the Flash can’t outrun.

In the supermax prison called Iron Heights, the Flash’s most dangerous enemy plans his escpe, dreams of revenge, and prepares to put the Flash on ice for good—driven by a personal grudge the Flash can’t see coming.

And deep within the Flash himself, incredible new powers are ready to be unleashed—unforeseen, unexplored abilities fueled by the same Speed Force that makes the Flash run, and which could be his greatest weapon… or his worst nightmare.

The Flash: Vol. 1: Move Forward is available at DC Comics Digital Store, Amazon, Apple iTunes, Barnes and Noble and Google Play.

I haven't kept up with this series. I'm too old and have too many other responsibilities to be spending money on comics anymore, but I did collect all of the NEW 52 when it first released for nostalgic purposes... Flash was darn good in the beginning. He's one of the characters that hadn't had their origins explored in a long time until Johns started on it 10 or so years ago. DC has reminded us that not only is Barry one of the most charming and funny superheroes, and he's arguably a top three powerhouse.

I was happy to see Hal's GL and Barry's Flash move back to the forefront, not that I didn't like the newer guys in those roles, but I think new audiences needed to be reminded that the original JL members were BA, and are probably more powerful than their successors.
