Last night, DC Comics revealed its December 2019 solicitations and the descriptions for
Lois Lane #7 and
Superman #18 point to the Man of Steel telling the world that he's actually Clark Kent.
According to the
Superman #18 solicitation text, Brian Michael Bendis and Ivan Reis will
"introduce the biggest change in the Man of Steel's life ever!" Lois Lane #7, however, is a little more direct as it mentions that
"this issue ties to the events of December’s Superman #18 and the gigantic status quo shift for both Lois and her husband, Superman, when the Man of Steel decides to reveal his identity to the world."
That sounds pretty definitive and it's hard not to wonder whether this has something to do with Doomsday Clock #12 as the final issue of that series is also set to go on sale this December.
In that, Superman will finally come to blows with Dr. Manhattan and seeing as the Watchmen villain has fooled the world into viewing the Man of Steel as a threat, it would make sense for the Kryptonian to reveal his human persona to the world at large. For now, we'll just have to wait and see.
