Tessa Thompson stole the show as Valkyrie in Thor: Ragnarok but the actress now has her sights set on another comic book role and that is the female lead of Image Comics' critically acclaimed Saga.

The chances of a Saga move ever happening are probably slim. Creators Brian K. Vaughn and Fiona Staples have said on a number of occasions that they don't necessarily want it to be adapted to film and it's definitely one of those properties it's hard to imagine working on the big screen. Despite that, Thor: Ragnarok star Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie) is now campaigning for the role of lead hero, Alana.

Before Tweeting the image below to make it clear she's a fan of the Image Comics series, one of her followers suggested that she should take on the role in a live-action setting and the actress replied: "Oh my. I’m very obsessed with Saga. That would be so dreamy." There's no denying that she would be perfect for the role but it's still hard to imagine it ever becoming a reality as things currently stand.

A TV series could work on a network like AMC or HBO but Thompson already stars in Westworld and would more than likely be too busy. Still, after seeing this, you have to hope it happens one day.

That would be great. I can't imagine them ever making an adaptation of it, though, even if it was on HBO.

She had an... interesting intro in the movie.

I thought "oh no this is bad", but she grew on me.

Excellent [frick]ing movie man. I love it to death. Would be my favorite marvel movie if the avengers wasn't so damn good.

Great comedy, my style of humor, much more so than the juevinile improv in Gotg 2. They also knew when to get serious, had stellar pacing. The action was incredible! I love a good swords vs monster fight scene, and they did not disappoint.

As I anticipated with the trailers, it was so good that I didn't give a shit about the comic differences.

It's really hard to decide whether ragnarok or Logan is my cbm of the year, so I'll just say they're tied for now.

I am surprised at all the love for Korg and Valkyrie. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and liked both characters, but I don't get the hype about them. They were cool absolutely but best character or most memorable? Debatable...

SAGA is the arguably best thing to come out of the comic book medium in this century. It's MASTERFUL STORYTELLING at its finest. Just UNBELIVEABLY good.

I think it should remain a comic, but if they adapt it, and they prob will, do a sprawling GOT type of show. Should be a tv show.

That’s actually great caring. That being said, don’t see saga ever really being adapted. It’s already fantastic as a comic book. It would work best as an HBO type show, but it would be way too expensive for tv.
