Fresh on the heels of her introduction, we stopped in to have a chat with the young Elf lady who personifies her character, Acacia in the first book of The Last Dynasty of The Guardians series, The Advancing Peril. With the release of the 3rd installment of the first book, we wanted to see what she thought of the story so far and her role in it.

Interviewer: In the previous issue of The Advancing Peril we were introduced to you, quite a bit into it, which means, since you weren’t in issue 1, it took a while to meet your character. When we meet her, there seems to be a mystery to her being on the planet where she is discovered. Would you say that’s accurate.

Acacia: It’s a moon. She is discovered on a moon, not a planet. Haha. But seriously, yes one of the things that attracted me to this role so much was that mystery. We discover she’s been marooned on this seemingly pristine and perfect place, living on a beach with her pet pink fox, Socca. Yet she desperately wants to leave. Most of us try and get to that place you know? I thought that was a unique take on a character introduction.

Interviewer: I’d say, I mean most days I want dream of spending all my time on the beach with no worries. From there she comes across the main Guardians of the story so far, Nalkwan and Siddiqi, and of course they’re charges, Titan Dyna and Weebs. We don’t get a lot of interaction as it’s the end of the issue when you meet them, but you must have been excited to work with others for a change of pace.

Acacia: Oh it was, even though I have no problems working alone, it was such a fun experience working with such characters!

Interviewer: May I ask who the most fun to work with was?

Acacia: Oh everyone was very professional, though surprisingly Siddiqi was the biggest practical joker. I mean he’s a dog, who would have thought that? Haha.

Interviewer: Can you tell us a little about your character, maybe give us some insight to what we might expect to see in the next issue?

Acacia: Well I can’t give too much away, but what I love about my character is that you don’t get a lot of female roles in these types of movies these days who are actual “Characters” you know? It seems to be that female characters have to be good at everything nowadays, so it was refreshing to have her be, strong, and feisty, but also have this tenderness and naivete and even some fragility. It’s hinted that she may have quite a bit of power, so it’s not at all that she’s weak, or weak of character. If anything she’s a complex character and I can’t wait to see what comes next for her!

Interviewer: Can you give us any hints to the next books? Have they told you what’s in store for Acacia?

Acacia: Oh no, they haven’t told me anything, however if they did I couldn’t tell you anyways so who knows!! But pick up this issue, this is most certainly a lot of character building for Acacia, it is certainly her issue!

Interviewer: Thank you for your time!

Acacia: My pleasure! Oh and Let your bond be strong! Haha.
