COMICS: Norman Osborn Gets A New Look And Mission Next Year In AMAZING SPIDER-MAN

At the end of the Superior Spider-Man's reign, Peter Parker cured Norman Osborn of the Goblin serum and his insanity. However, the iconic villain is set to return next year with a new mission and costume...

Ever since Norman Osborn forgot Spider-Man's secret identity as a result of Brand New Day, it's been a little hard to get invested in stories featuring the two characters. However, after plaguing Peter Parker while he was in charge of H.A.M.M.E.R. and then again when Doctor Octopus was the "Superior" Spider-Man, the now powerless - and sane - villain is back with revenge clearly now on his mind.

"PARKER VS. OSBORN!!!" teases the synopsis for an upcoming trade. "In the end of Superior Spider-Man, Peter Parker cured Norman Osborn of the Goblin serum and insanity. But Peter didn’t realize that a sane Norman Osborn is more dangerous than ever. Can Spider-Man wield the full power of Parker Industries to take on Osborn’s military might?! The end of Parker Industries begins here!"

Written by Dan Slott with artwork by Stuart Immonen, this arc should be pretty interesting, but it's not exactly as exciting as seeing the wall-crawler going head to head with the Green Goblin! It's also worth noting that despite the new artist, Slott is still on writing duties, something many readers hoped would change after The Clone Conspiracy wraps up. What do you guys think of these new story details?

@MattBellissimo - "Your brother from another blood cell."

I'd say yes to that, and I cannot blame him for reacting that way.

This is a concept I'm actually interested in.....but Slott is writing it. So we'll be getting dialog that sounds like it's from 30 years ago.

@MattBellissimo - We'll get decades stale dialogue, no one will act like themselves or like they have two brain cells to rub together, the story won't go anywhere until the last issue, 7 of the issues will end in "twists" that he already revealed 3 issues ago, and it'll be capped off with a reveal that comes out of nowhere and makes zero sense.

I love Alex Ross but I kinda wish they would let the current artists do the covers for ASM and let Ross do the covers for avengers and events

Will this be Slott's final arc? He'll have been writing Spidey for 9 years come January.

@MattBellissimo - Isn't considered sacrilege for a writer to break Stan Lee's record on writing issues of ASM?

Did they just answer their own tease question?
