Disney+ Will Release STAN LEE, An Original Documentary, In 2023 - Check Out The First Teaser Trailer!

December 28 marks what would have been Stan "The Man" Lee's 100th birthday, and Marvel Studios has announced that 2023 will see the release of Stan Lee, an Original documentary, on Disney+. In terms of what we can expect, little to nothing has been revealed as we write this, with the announcement dropping on social media out of the blue earlier today.

A teaser has been released, though, and while it doesn't reveal much, the focus is primarily on the legendary comic book creator's cameos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Marvel Studios has released almost as many projects in Phase 4 as they did for the entire Infinity Saga. Unfortunately, Stan's regular cameos have been absent ever since Avengers: Endgame, with his final appearance in the MCU coming during Captain America and Iron Man's trip back in time together.

The opening credits of Captain Marvel paid tribute to the writer, while Spider-Man: Far From Home was the first and only Infinity Saga movie to not feature a cameo from him. One was never discussed as his health deteriorated after Avengers: Endgame, but Stan's impact continues to be felt throughout the MCU as his characters continue to thrive on screen.

We're sure his cameos will be a huge part of this documentary, but would prefer the focus to be on the role he played in creating the Marvel Comics Universe in the 1960s.

Honestly, Stan's life was incredible enough that an entire series could be devoted to it, and it's unclear whether we're getting that or a feature-length special. Hopefully, we'll have more details to share with you soon, including the team hired to take a deep dive into The Man's life.

Check out the teaser for Stan Lee below.

As a trailer, that didn’t do anything. Hopefully it’s more about the early 60’s era vs his late life.

I miss Stan so much, to be real.

I woke up this morning to a bunch if Stan posts from industry people on my feed and it got me. With Kevin and JDF, this been a tough year. Remember my old pal Stan just hit me right square in the feels today.

W in the chat for the GOAT! STAN the man!

It will for sure be a fluff piece, and not expose any of the ruthless things he did to get and keep power.

@LSHF - unfortunately nobody cares about Kirby. Only die hards even know who he is, and most of them don’t care.

Have you noticed that the MCU was more comic book accurate when he was alive.

I hope there will be a movie made about Stan Lee one day. They need a big name to get all of stan’s voice, movements right etc. Also a good director.

Every one of his cameos makes me grin ear-to-ear. Though by the time we get to his last few MCU appearances, I can't help but get teary-eyed as well.
