I don't know about you guys but usually when I order a pizza and bring it somewhere, usually it's with family or friends and sometimes involves either a sports game going on or watching a movie together. Well from those of you who live in Hong Kong, Pizza Hut along with ad firm Ogilvy & Mather HK has built the Blockbuster Box. The pizza box contains a lens that is inserted into a perforated hole on its side. You are then instructed to scan a code using your smartphone and put your smartphone inside the pizza box. Any video being played on the smartphone's screen will be displayed on the wall via the large projector lens. Here's a video to make things clearer.

Mankind takes another great leap towards the future. So what are your thoughts on Pizza Hut's Blockbuster Box? If you don't live in Hong Kong, would you want to try this? If you do live in Hong Kong, would you try this? And also what movies or shows would you want the Blockbuster Box to play? Comment below, let me know. Peace and remember...

That's actually pretty cool

You could watch a movie on a bigger screen with people anywhere, like a portable projector

Nice

If you're so poor that you can't afford a TV, you probably shouldn't be spending $15 on a shitty pizza.

Ridiculous? Sure. But why not? It's clearly not meant to be a high-end experience. But it could be fun for a lark, or to project a ghoul or two onto your door for Halloween.

Unless I missed something, though, it'll be more like "pizza, then a movie" instead of "pizza & a movie". How are you supposed to project something when the box is full of food :P

I like their pizza but this is a dumb idea. Why would I watch a movie projected on my wall from a shitty iphone so I can watch a movie in piss poor quality? I'll stick with my 55" Sony LED Smart tv thank you very much.
