How did it end? I missed the last couple minutes because my DVR was fed up.

@Enphlieuwince Gary sacrifices himself to become the vessel to hold the demon after Constantine manipulated him into doing so. It was sad.

@Lemons Thx man! You have just been upgraded to Lemonade in my book, buddy.

I really like this show and I hate that the reception has been so lackluster for it. Really want this guy is a GDT Justice League Dark film. But, if it's meant to be...and all that.

Phenomenal episode!!! First off it never had the "villain of the week" vibe at all. They tackled some heavy subject matters this episode and I couldn't have loved it more. Right to the core of Morals vs Sacrifice and Matt Ryan has been spot on. Idk about that Zed chick though. Her acting was a little sketch to me.

How cool was the precipice world sequence?

They fully got this episode right. Screw all the haters/shade tossing, this show just needs a new day.

Great episode. I remember a few weeks back when they said having Swamp Thing would cause their universe to implode and seem unrealistic, but we've had rock creatures, but genies, and "The Voice". Swamp Thing seems like he would be easy to use.

Last episode was THE shit. This show improves over each episode. It's not perfect, that's what i love about it.

Yah, great episode. The ending was sad though.

There was a guy on here that got bent out of shape over Constantine sacrificing Gary. So much so that he said he would stop watching the show.

He did manipulate Gary into being the sacrifice, but he gave him a chance to back out.

I hope somewhere down the line, we'll be introduced to other members of Justice League Dark, more specifically Zatanna!

If you guys have been reading HellBlazer the last 2 episodes really loosely are similar to the comics.

This show's getting canceled. It draws like, 0.8-0.9 those are Arrow like numbers but the only difference is Constantine dosen't have a shitty network like the CW to save it. NBC's canninng this shit.

@mgeoff88 Obviously that guy doesn't read the comics. Gary didn't even have the chance to back out in the comics. This episode was a lot more humane by comparison.

@xstartripper I actually haven't read many Constantine comics either.

I did hear some people mention that though, and they are smart for making Constantine less cold.

More people would've been bothered by his actions, if they followed the comics.

@mgeoff88 I dunno. I've always liked that coldness in John because it gave you a sense of how true to his word he is when he says his friends always die. It was also as though John was doing the job nobody wanted to do -- sacrificing a friend to save countless lives. This isn't even the only Newcastle mate he has no choice but to screw over.

I also miss seeing him as the cunning, manipulative bastard who tries not to dirty his hands and depends on his wit. I'm sure the show will show that eventually as we've seen glimpses. Hoping for sooner rather than later.

But he'll certainly win more of an audience over with slightly more warmth than he has in the comics, so I suppose it is a good idea. I just hope he hardens more as the show progresses.
