With Ocean's 8 setting a record for the much loved Ocean's series and the likes of Ghost-buster's in 2016 doing commercially well, some might say having a female lead is the way to go. Atomic Blonde showed us that a female can kick just as much ass as John Wick. Tomb Raider was certainly more enjoyable then Indy's last outing. Red Sparrow showed that the sleuthing game can be done by a lady as well. Now, for the most part, all of the movies I just mentioned were average at best. Some had their moments and there was the odd occasion that was thoroughly enjoyable but for the most part they were all forgettable. Now despite these movies getting mixed scores on Metacritic and Rotten Tomatoes (even on our channel) most of them did well at the box office which makes you think; with the right series or character, could a female lead turn out well?

We've compiled a huge list of characters, franchises and the like that we think could receive the gender swap and potentially even work. Now we're not saying these title necessarily need a reboot or a female replacement, just that a female could pull of the role as well or in some cases better than a man.

Some of the titles we discuss are- James Bond, Indiana Jones, RoboCop, Predator, Goonies, American Werewolf and Spider-Man.

If you'd like to hear what we think on each of the aforementioned characters and many more, come and watch our video and join the conversation in the comments section. Who would you like to see rebooted/replaced by a female?
