Over Halloween, many of you no doubt donned some pretty cool store-bought costumes to party in or go trick or treating with your kids. However, there are some people out there who craft their own costumes -  not just for the holidays but for Comic-Cons and because they're online personalities.

Cosplayers are a talented bunch and as technology has improved, so too has the sort of costumes they've been able to dream up. Honestly, many of them are as good as what we see on the big and small screens these days, which is no easy feat.

Below, you'll find a selection of some of the best cosplayers in the world today. From Jessica Nigiri to Kay Pike and Shawn Webber, we're confident that you'll be blown away by the quality of these costumes and will want to give all of these guys and gals a follow on social media. So, to take a look, all you have to do is click on the "View List" button!

Alodia Gosiengfiao

A cosplayer from the Philippines, Alodia Gosiengfiao is definitely someone who you should be following if you're a fan of anime. She often suits up as video game and comic book characters too.

Jessica Nigiri

We've featured Jessica Nigri's work on CBM quite a few times in the past and she's well-known for suiting up as any number of fan-favourite comic characters including Harley Quinn and the Black Cat.

An American Vietnamese cosplayer with a significant social media following, Linda Le should be well-known to fans for her incredible costumes based on the likes of Nightwing and Psylocke.

Yaya Han

Yaya Han has received a lot of mainstream media attention for her cosplaying and the self-taught costume designer has portrayed guys characters over the years in a variety of awesome ways.

Maybe i just don't get it. i don't understand the need to follow people who dress up like characters. Maybe it's because I'm out of touch with this community of people. It doesn't make sense to call them cosplayers when the dress up as a character, but only wear a thin bra and panties. Am i supposed to be impressed when they don't resemble the character at all and just look like attention whores? I don't know. Someone please help explain this culture to me, and I'm being 100% serious.

@HeavyKevy - It's not so much about how they look in the costume. It's that it's artistry. These aren't store bought costumes. They're intricately sewn and sculpted into existence over months on a miniscule budget. That they look hot wearing them is just the bonus.
HeavyKevy

@rabid - But with the girls, most of them might as well be in their underwear. You mean to tell me it took them months of labor to put on underwear, paint their face and take some pictures? Jesus, i must be getting old...
rabid
rabid - 11/2/2018, 1:38 PM
@HeavyKevy - I see two of them in underwear and the rest in intricate costumes. I'm not sure why anyone would complain looking at beautiful bodies though.
