Thanks to COVID-19, cosplayers have been left unable to show off their amazing costumes at events like the San Diego Comic-Con and Wizard World, but social media somewhat makes up for that!
While the superhero (and supervillain) suits we see on the big screen these days have definitely improved, there are some which aren't necessarily faithful to the comic books, and others which just aren't good enough for some fans. The amazing people highlighted in this feature, however, have managed to dream up costumes even better than those on the big - and small - screen.
We brought you some amazing cosplayers earlier this year, but there's another batch here which we're confident will blow your minds! Among the characters highlighted are Nightwing, Black Cat, Elektra, and The Juggernaut, and if Marvel and DC can replicate costumes like these, it would be epic.

We've seen a few different iterations of Catwoman on screen up until this point, but none of them have been entirely comic accurate. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like that will change in The Batman.
It would be amazing seeing something like this, though, because this take on Selina Kyle is absolutely perfect. There's no reason this wouldn't work on screen, so who knows why it's yet to happen.
The X-Men are on their way to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and we can only hope that they finally don some comic accurate costumes. For Kitty (Kate) Pryde, what about this classic number?
This looks absolutely phenomenal here, and it's not remotely difficult to picture an actress decked out in this alongside a CGI Lockheed. Shadowcat needs to return to the big screen ASAP, regardless.
Nightwing's costume in Titans...is fine. However, it also looks like it was created on a TV budget, and there are arguably better ways this fan-favourite former Robin could be portrayed in live-action.
There's something special about this effort, and we'd strongly recommend checking out @dynamitewebber's Instagram page for more eye-catching takes on Batman's many sidekicks.
It goes without saying that we obviously didn't expect young Dafne Keene to wear a costume like this in Logan, but for an older version of Laura, this is a pitch perfect take on Wolverine's clone.
While X-23 has donned her own version of Wolvie's costume in recent years, but this is how the hero looked when she was first introduced, and bringing that to the big screen would be no bad thing.
Elektra has made four live-action appearances (in Daredevil, Elektra, and the Daredevil and Defenders TV show), and while her costumes have never been awful, there's definite room for improvement.
We understand not wanting to objectify an actress by putting her in a skimpy effort like this, but part of the reason Elektra doesn't need an armoured costume is because she's such a formidable warrior.
This literally looks like an action figure come to life, and we love it! While some changes would have to be made for something like this to work on screen, it's still better than what Vinnie Jones wore.
2018's Deadpool 2 brought back The Juggernaut, but made him more of a mindless goon than anything else. In the MCU, we'd like to see his past and powers explored in a far more in-depth manner.
This is a fairly simple take on Black Cat, and in all honestly, it doesn't take a lot to beat Felicia Hardy's street clothes in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. However, while it may not be fancy, we love this version.
It's definitely comic accurate, and that's a big win when it comes to a character like Black Cat. It's difficult to imagine ever seeing this classic costume in live-action, so this cosplay will have to do.
3. Invisible Woman - @inir_k
During Disney's recent Investor Day, it was confirmed that a new Fantastic Four movie is coming from director Jon Watts. We don't know when it's coming, but we want costumes as cool as this one!
This is pure, classic Fantastic Four, and the model here looks awesome as Sue Storm, the Invisible Women. When it comes to Marvel's First Family, if it ain't broke, Marvel Studios shouldn't try to fix it.
For the most part, fans have grown bored of seeing Mystique in the X-Men movies. It's easy enough to see why, but would you really say "no" to a comic accurate version like this jaw-dropping effort?
This is arguably how Mystique should be portrayed, and we really don't need to head down the "scales" route again. You can check out more, NSFW photos of this impressive cosplay by clicking here.

This second Black Cat cosplay is based on the Spider-Man video game rather than the comic books, but if Sony Pictures is looking to head down a more "realistic" route, we'd be on board with this.
The costume looks absolutely superb in live-action, and if Faerie Blossom has any acting experience, perhaps she could play Felicia Hardy too? Either way, we're 100% impressive by this take on the hero.
