Talking to Hero Complex's Geoff Boucher, Jon Favreau has revealed that he will premiere Cowboys & Aliens at the upcoming San Diego Comic Con. Below are a few brief excerpts from the report, but you can read more by clicking on the link below to head on over to the site.

"The worldwide premiere of ‘Cowboys & Aliens’ will be at Comic-Con," the director said of his hard-edged sci-fi western that stars Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford, Olivia Wilde and Sam Rockwell "And not only are we going to premiere it there, we’re going to find a way to include as many of the fans as possible. I feel like they’ve come out for me, they’ve supported me."

Favreau said details are being put in place for the premiere, and that he would have more to say very soon. "That’s where it all started, and I want to give back," he said. "They should have the opportunity to see it first."

Directed by Jon Favreau and starring Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford and Olivia Wilde, Cowboys & Aliens is set to be released on July 29, 2011.

the best comedy of 2011,though an unintentional FAIL.
less than $200 mill ww at a budget of $100 mil+.
Is anybody taking this movie seriously, not even the producers have?
For starters I can believe Jack Black can be FLash in the big movie adaptation of my fav DC character but how can Cowboys who barely know how to read and write can beat Aliens who are atleast 10000 years ahead in technology?

...And I'm back. lol Been a while, got to make up for lost time:So from the hints Favreau dropped in that interview, that probably means they'll be utilizing Petco Park for the premeire,if one interpets that correctly. If they tried holding it at Hall H at the Convention Center,it would most likely make for a security and logistical nightmare. When 3oo did their dvd premeire at Petco a couple of Cons ago,it came off rather well, but I don't see the powers that be using the stadium's videoscreen to debut their movie. hat means building a REALLY big screen...We'll see how this turns out, especially if they leave the screen up for the Cap premeire a well...;)

I'm not hugely excited for this film, but he just earned massive brownie points with me.

Wow thats pretty cool... Have a feeling this movie wont do amazingly at the box office, but thats mainly due to all the big hitters out this year. Hopefully critically it'll b winning though!
