Hi-Res DEADPOOL 2 Images Reveal How Key Scenes Were Created Including THAT A-List Actor's Cameo - SPOILERS

Deadpool 2 was a lot of fun and seeing as the budget was significantly higher than the first instalment, that allowed Ryan Reynolds and director David Leitch to include a lot more VFX heavy sequences in the sequel. Many of those are highlighted in this awesome new gallery of images as we see shots of characters like Colossus, Hope Summers, The Vanisher, the Merc with the Mouth, and many more.

As well as shedding some light on how Colossus' scenes were created and the secrets behind the hero's hilarious baby legs, we also get to see how Brad Pitt's surprise cameo was dreamt up, Wade's visit to the afterlife, and much more. These are all seriously cool and many are wallpaper worthy so to check out the full gallery of hi-res images, all you guys need to do is click on the "View List" button below.

So, I guess Colossus never reverts to his human form then? Here, the X-Man can be seen hanging around the X-Mansion before the Merc with the Mouth recruits him to join his makeshift X-Force team.

Yes, that child really is the X-Men Universe's version of Hope Summers and while it remains to be seen whether she has anything in common with her comic book counterpart, this was a cool Easter Egg.

In what was clearly a homage to X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Deadpool attempts to deflect Cable's bullets and quickly realises that slicing one in half was easy. The rest? Well, not quite so much!

Ryan Reynolds recently took to social media to reveal that he sat on a baby to create Deadpool 2's hilarious baby legs sequence but here we see it was actually the work of some talented VFX artists.

The sequel kicks off in a very morbid way when Wade Wilson attempts to kill himself following Vanessa's death and this gorgeous shot shows the beginning stages of that deadly explosion.

Another fascinating before and after shot from the movie, here we see Cable leaping into action. How crazy is it that everything other than Josh Brolin and the transport are just visual effects?

These shots shed some light on the work which went into bringing Cable's techno-organic virus to life on the big screen. Here's hoping that's better explored in the upcoming X-Force spinoff.

One of the sequel's most impressive scenes, the DMC transport crashing was definitely an excellent visual effect and much bigger than pretty much anything we saw in the first Deadpool movie.

Things got seriously weird in Deadpool 2 when the Merc with the Mouth entered the afterlife but the comics have frequently toyed with his relationship with Death so that definitely made some sense.

When Wade Wilson "dies" at the end of the movie, he's finally reunited with Vanessa in the sequel's most touching moments. Unfortunately, it wasn't his time so that didn't last very long.

The Vanisher was played by Brad Pitt in Deadpool 2 but before he was cast in the role, these early VFX shots show how the scene featuring the invisible hero being electrocuted was brought to life.

Once again, we see how a relatively simple scene was enhanced with special effects as a snowy background has been added and a huge chunk of Wad Wilson's head has obviously been removed.

So, can you spot the difference here? That's right, Colossus was added at a later date and seeing as he looked so good in the sequel, it's hard to believe the character was actually created from scratch.

Yes, Ryan Reynolds had to grab the butt of a giant, plastic version of Colossus to create this scene! It's pretty surprising that no actor was on set for this moment but I guess they didn't have to be.

It definitely had a bigger budget than the first film. But a little bit more of work could've been put into Juggernaut.

@DeadWade213 -
@MalseMarcel - When it comes to CGI quality in superhero movies, is it REALLY a money issue at this point?! As if the director needed just a FEW MORE million, in order to improve the look of a special effect, and the studio said "f**k off"? Even the bigger budget movies end up with flawed CGI shots, that people easily notice and criticize.

And just throwing it out there. Not having a Jonah Hex joke in the Deadpool 2 movie, was a weird missed opportunity. I guess the movie was so forgettable, that the writers simply forgot.😂

Kind of odd they are releasing all these photos so soon, but cool. I guess I'm i the minority but I thought CGI Jugs looked fine.
