DEADPOOL 2: You'll Never Guess Who Provided The Voice And Mo-Cap For [SPOILER] In The Movie

As expected, Deadpool 2 introduces an all-CG take on classic X-Men villain The Juggernaut, and the monstrous stepbrother of Charles Xavier does a lot of damage before Colossus ultimately puts him down by... well, it's how they do it in Mother Russia, apparently.

DEADPOOL 2 SPOILERS: All Of The Most Shocking Moments, Biggest Reveals, Unexpected Cameos And More

As the credits rolled, fans kept an eye out to see if they could spot who played the character, but all that comes up is, "Juggernaut: As Himself." Well, it turns out that star Ryan Reynolds actually pulled double-duty and provided the voice and facial-capture for Juggy in addition to reprising the role of Wade Wilson.

“Ryan Reynolds ended up voicing Juggernaut, if you didn’t know that,” co-writer Rhett Reese told CBR at the film’s New York City press junket earlier this week. “That was Ryan’s voice as the Juggernaut, and he did the facial capture for him. I don’t know how they did the physical mo-cap — I don’t think that was Ryan.”

Reece went on to explain why he and writing partner Paul Wernick decided to reintroduce Juggernaut after Vinnie Jones' muscle-suited portrayal in X-Men: The Last Stand back in 2006.

“We committed to it pretty early on, because he’s never been done justice until now. We always wanted to see a CG Juggernaut, so we finally got that. We also really needed to balance the scales in act three, between Deadpool and friends and little Firefist who has cool powers, but we needed to make it a fair fight. What greater force of nature than Juggernaut?”

Tell us, did you enjoy Juggernaut's scenes in Deadpool 2? Did you think the CGI used to bring him to life was up to scratch? Sound off below.

@RocknRolla - I liked it better than the first, but I'm not a Deadpool fan.

My mate, who doesn't generally watch comic movies, loved both 1 and 2. I think it'll reach an audience who don't normally watch the genre of movies.

My Aunt loved it as well.

Juggernaut looked okay until you closed in on his face. A lot better than X3 still.

Domino was my favorite character. Really enjoyed her. Dopinder too. Action was stellar.

Didn't like this one as much as the first though. The Cable stuff didn't work for me. Brolin was good, but Cable's story (the film's story overall) was weak. That underwater heaven shit was weird too. Pulled me out of the movie. Felt like the movie stopped everytime it happened.

I agree parts of the story felt weak, i dont think infinity war has anything to worry about, i get now why some people are saying it was too much this film, tried too hard. I really enjoyed juggernaut, wouldnt hav guessed it was reynolds, it was defo brad pitt as vanisher, great cameo. Im gonna see it again tomoro so maybe ill like it better this time, i just remember after the first one how excited i felt and now ibdidnt feel tht after the 2nd :-(

@johnshadow24 - story was weak in the first one as well. Deadpool isn't so much story as it is how its told.

The story was very simplistic but I really don't get why that's a bad thing for this type of movie and character. Also, are people under the impression that superhero movies, in general, have clever or complicated plots?

Avengers: Infinity War: Bad guy wants to collect stones to destroy have the universe. Heroes try to stop him.

That's the story.
