Personally, I hated what they did with the Deadpool Character in Wolverine Origins. Fair enough, Reynolds job as Wade Wilson in the first half hour was superb, and hence what probably led to him reprising his role (Although were promised to a wolverine origins spin off not related to it). But there was something about the whole "Laser vision, Swords embedded into his arms, etc" that did not work for me.
It made me think, now that thankfully Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are on board, with their clear vision...What have they got in mind for Mr. Wilson? Most of you will probably jump to the conclusion that they'll head straight down the route of making him exactly like the Comic Books. If so, good! But theres still a lot of things to take into account. Such as the material, and style fabric used for his costume. Will it be as simple and as slick as Raimi's spidey? Or (Hopefully not) some sort of weird metal substance that makes him stiff like Robocop (And no not bionic for gods sake).
Whatever they decide upon, I figured we should look back at some concepts they made for Wolverine Origins, and whats going down the right route. And what is venturing way too far away:
1. A Big NO!
Seriously? I think you'll agree with me, this ain't what we want to see. I mean, its already bad enough that he's wearing some weird gray army outfit. But with the Black eye makeup going over his actual face is very annoying. Not to mention, were looking for a fully masked Deadpool are we not?
2. Urm...possibly
I know, we want a masked Deadpool! But come to think about it, this design would work perfectly as to what lurks underneath Deadpools attire. A burnt or disfigured crazy man behind the mask will shock (and probably make you laugh), as long as the right words are coming out.
3. The obvious (But very cool) route to take
No more needs to be said other than...If this was done right, we would be very happy chappy's indeed.
