DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS Tie-In Commercial Includes Wong And SPIDER-MAN 2 Easter Egg

A new tie-in commercial for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness features the return of Benedict Cumberbatch's Wong, while many fans are convinced they've also spotted a reference to Spider-Man 2.

Marvel Studios often enlists some of its biggest stars for tie-in commercials, with the likes of Tom Holland, Brie Larson, and Jon Favreau all on hand at one time to hype up their promotional partners. Now, with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness on the horizon, it's Benedict Wong's turn!

The actor reprises his role as Wong in this Tide promo for a team-up with Strange's Cloak of Levitation.

However, something many fans have zeroed in on is the fact we see a Joe's Pizza food truck, an apparent nod to Joe's Pizza in Spider-Man 2 (which, like the Doctor Strange sequel, was helmed by Sam Raimi). As you may recall, Peter Parker was a delivery driver for them before he was fired.

Fans remain convinced that Tobey Maguire will make a cameo appearance in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and it would make perfect sense for the former Sorcerer Supreme to meet that web-slinger after Spider-Man: No Way Home. Marvel Studios' deal with Sony Pictures allows them to use Spidey for one more cameo appearance, but no one said it had to be Tom Holland's hero.

Something tells us we probably won't find out until this movie arrives in theaters, but reuniting Raimi and Maguire...well, that might just make this the best MCU movie yet in the eyes of many fans!

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness arrives in theaters on May 6.
