Thor is a 2011 American superhero film based on the comic book character of the same name published by Marvel Comics and is the fourth film released as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Hopkins, and Stellan Skarsgård with Kenneth Branagh directing a script by Ashley Edward Miller, Zack Stentz, and Don Payne. The project of a film adaptation of Thor was in "development hell" for several years before Marvel Studios signed Protosevich to write its script in 2006. Matthew Vaughn was to direct the film in late 2008 for a release in 2010. Branagh replaced Vaughn in late 2008, and the film's release was rescheduled into 2011. The main characters were cast in 2009, and principal photography took place from January to May 2010.

It's very hard to choose, IMO. Thor seems to be more accessible, though.

I liked Thor alot and it was a fantastic movie but I thought that its action scenes were too short and I really can't replace Iron Man because I just love that movie it is great.

Thor is much better. It's very rare that I watch a comic book movie and say "You know what, I'm not even gonna complain about these changes." And Iron Man didn't have much fight to it. Thor did everything he should have done with that hammer. Just like Spiderman was perfect when he was swinging through New York, Thor swung the hammer, flew through storms, summoned lightening...the fighting was perfect.

My biggest complaint was that the sequel didn't play immediately.

I'm afraid the Avengers is gonna mess up how much I enjoyed Thor and it's going to be terribly overly complicated, just like Iron Man 2 was.
