FAN ART: The Symbols Should Be as Exciting as the Characters Themselves (Superman S Emblem Animation)

The famous Superman S symbol like you have never seen before rendered into this animation by THE DREAM.

Although THE DREAM does not work in the comic book industry, he feels that some of these characters are very significant and may also be the foundations for the new mythologies our culture must embrace if it's going to survive in the next 100 years.

In his words.

"Superman is a classic archetype whose legend has stood the test of time and shows no signs of fading. It's really the Moses story in a clever disguise. Both were sent away from home to escape death. Moses in a reed basket, Kal El in a rocket ship. Both of them were found and raised by foster parents, and both grew up to perform feats that were beyond the means of mortal men."

"I think the symbols that represent these characters are as critical as the characters themselves. They should convey something about the excitement and personalities that are indigenous to them."

It took 34 frames to make this. They were all saved into one file using corel photopaint. The Dream does not use photoshop and feels that photoshop was made for someone who works in an office.

"Corel photopaint is much more in tune with an artists sensibilities."

However these are also delicate things and one must always be careful when you carry one in your pocket.

Made with nothing but love and respect for the creation of Jerry Siegel and Joe Schuster.

If this does't get deleted by the powers that be, then I will be very happy to show more animations by THE DREAM because this is just a drop in the bucket.

Well I am new to this site and I'm not entirely sure how to read these things yet seeing as every site has their own way of doing things. Nor was I aware of any kind of point thing.

Im sorry that it's taken me this long to come back. During the interim I moved from California to France. But right now I am back in California and I have some pretty cool new animations from dream to post.
