Overview

Gotham is an original TV series that would detail the lives of Gotham’s most influential citizens. Of course, a major focus of the show would be on one Bruce Wayne, aka The Batman. Because of a network’s limited budget, Batman would make limited appearance throughout a season. The dual life of Bruce Wayne would be explored. Bruce Wayne has to juggle the responsibilities of Wayne Enterprise and his vigilantism protecting his beloved home.

Bruce begins the series in the early days of becoming the Dark Knight. Batman’s sole purpose is to find those responsible for the murder of his parents. His detective skills are displayed more emphasized rather than his combat and technological prowess. Batman teams up with a young detective, James Gordon, to help rid Gotham of crime. Meanwhile, Bruce struggles to gain control of his father’s company.

Other characters that would have major storylines would be rising detective James Gordon. Gordon would remain one of the few honest cops in the Gotham City Police Department. His rise to commissioner would be a focal point of the series. Several detectives in the GCPD would be recurring characters: Sarah Essen, Renee Montoya, Crispus Allen, and Gillian Loeb. Many episodes would chronicle the MCU solving crimes ala a procedural crime drama.

Overall, I like it.

But bro, you are heading down a one-way street to Smallville territory. And that is dangerous territory. Remember what happened there? Superman made a 'limited' appearance there too, so limited in fact, that we never actually got to see Welling in the suit.

@AutobotCommander84 things like the Batmobile and his gadgets are very expensive. TDKR's budget is redunkulous.

@Fartman Batman would in full suit appear in about 5 to 6 times in a 13 episode season. My plot outlines show that Batman would be after some serious criminals. There are just alot of stories to tell that don't require The Batman (as awesome as he is) in every shot. It won't be like Smallville at all.

Dude, I've had a pretty similar idea before! Even Roth as Joker! Lol, I really like the cast and all that, but I don't like your Scarecrow. He's a teacher to Bat, but he's younger then him in reality and it's pretty noticable.... Lennie James and Michael Anthony Hall are both awesome though so I approve of those choices to an extreme amount! Try not to let the fake budget and all interfere though, this is just a fan fic after all. You have the power!

u know, its got me thinking. if Wayne took all of season 1 to become batman in the last ep itd be a great cliffhanger. and i could see limited shots of him in the siut, growing larger as the episodes grow in number. he could do most of his stuff undercover as "Marches" Malone. that would be smething fantastic. if he went undercover for maybe all of season 2 or 3 and doned the cape maybe twice in said season. ooh i like where thats leading

i like the story set up u have but your cast has hits and misses. Wayne should start younger if hes in college, no?

@ager that would actually work in my first season. good ideas... i think bruce wayne's morning life hasnt been truly explored and i think The Batman would be an event since he doesnt show up every episode.

@Kakraot great minds think alike. I picked Kartheiser because he is a gifted young actor. I think it helps Crane's transition to Scarecrow by being young and then having the world turn against you. So his age seemed appropriate.

@ager my feeling is that bruce wayne would secretly attempt to learn criminology after he becomes Batman to help his detective career. Bruce would originally pursue some business degree to gain control of his father's company.

@Fartman I have a planned Season 4 and 5 in my mind. I got lazy, its finals week and I need to study.

Season 4 roughly involves Penguin selling weapons to Black Mask's mob. The death of Sarah Essen and Crispus Allen [at the Gordon/Essen wedding] and the shock at MCU. Gordon's adopted neice becomes paralyzed during the ceremony and becomes mysterious hacker, the Oracle. Gordon blames Batman over the loss of his fiance. Fugitive Selina Kyle aids Batman in finding the Penguin's headquarters.

Season 5: The Final Season Bruce faces corporate takeover by businessman Max Shreck. Wayne Enterprise merges with Queen Industries. Bruce becomes romantically involved with Talia al Ghoul. Ras al Ghoul foments rebellion and Gotham's Finest lose control of the city. Gordon turns to Batman to save the day. Green Arrow and Black Canary help the Dark Knight to rid Gotham City of the League of Shadows.

make dent have a side effect to Scarecrow's gas that slowly develops ovber the second seasomn, but him not getting the scar til the finale cliffhanger, and season 3 his dark side takes over, becoming the main season villain

@123Avengers123 Ras is in my season 5. some of these characters wouldnt fit into the type of show im designing other than maybe a freak of the week type episode. the show is about batman solving cases, bruce struggling being a bruce he doesnt want to be, and the Gotham MCU trying to make sense of a world with supervillains.

well its wierd cause you took limited budget into consideraton as to why batman couldnt apear very often .. but then you throw money to the wind for the casting .. there is no way any network could afford that cast ... DONT GET ME WRONG i love the picks .. execpt for bommar but if your talking about realistically they couldnt pull that off.

@darkknightmare2012 the thing that would help the show is that most of the cast would not be series regulars which means the salaries are cheaper. basically the non-main cast is a list of glorified special guest stars

His age makes a bit more sence noe but im a fan of a younger Beginner Bats. But really, in Hollywood age is irrelevant. They;d just SAY he was younger and call it a day.
