Marvel's Iron Fist Netflix Series Fan Cast

Marvel's Iron Fist Netflix Series Fan Cast

With a showrunner officially announced, Iron Fist will soon be heading to the small screen. So before some casting news is officially released, let me enlighten you with my fan cast!

We all know that Iron Fist will be airing on Netflix soon. We were all excited when Scott Buck was announced as showrunner, thus quenching the rampant rumors that suggested that Marvel/Netflix might drop the show.

So, now that we have a showrunner, it's inevitable that we'll get casting news within the following months. So, before that happens, I'd like to get my fan choices out there.

So, here we go:

First off, people with confirmed roles that have a likely chance of appearing on the show:

Mike Colter as Luke Cage

I mean, it wouldn't be out of place for him to pop up in a couple of episodes.

Simone Missick as Misty Knight

This will probably be confirmed soon, seeing that she's Danny's love interest.

Carrie-Ann Moss as Jeri Hogarth

This will probably also get confirmed soon, since she was a close friend of Wendell Rand.

Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple

This one is probably going to get confirmed as well, as she's supposedly supposed to appear in each character's series. And the fact that she's interacted with Iron Fist before in the comics.

Wai Ching Ho as Madame Gao

Her presence on Daredevil practically alluded to K'un L'un, so it would seem fitting for her to return here.

And now, on to my fan choices:

Garrett Hedlund as Danny Rand/ Iron Fist

I still stand by this choice. I'm not really for the whole wanting an Asian-American Iron Fist, because I see no real purpose behind it. You want an Asian martial arts master? Then bring Shang-Chi to the small screen. Hopefully, when and if a shortlist is released of the actors that are up for the role, he'll be on it.

Evan & Ryder Londo and Dakota Goyo as child and adolescent Danny Rand

The twins played Jax's son Abel from Sons of Anarchy and could portray Danny when he lost his parents and got his first experience of K'un L'un. Goyo could portray an adolescent Danny training under Lei Kung. They all look like they could pass as younger versions of Hedlund.

Jason Bateman as Wendell Rand

Courtney Thorne-Smith as Heather Duncan Rand

Colin Firth as Harold Meachum

Jean-Claude Van Damme as Orson Randall/Iron Fist

If it is decided that Orson Randall is to appear, then I think that Van Damme would be an awesome choice.

Maggie Q as Colleen Wing

She's got the acting ability, the look, and the physicality to give us a good Colleen Wing.

Donnie Yen as Lei Kung the Thunderer

An actor, martial artist, action choreographer, multiple-time wushu tournament champion and more, I feel like he has the skill to give us the authentic feel of a seasoned teacher that has been training students for centuries.

Harry Shum, Jr. as Davos/Steel Serpent

An actor, dancer, and more, I feel that he has the acting chops and the physical ability to give us a good Steel Serpent. He also played Sub-Zero in Mortal Kombat: Legacy season 2, so there's that. He could just bulk up for the role a little.

Jet Li as Yu-Ti

I know that multiple other Iron Fist fan casts have him as either Lei Kung or Yu-Ti, but I think he'd make a great Yu-Ti.

Ken Watanabe as Master Khan

He was one of the actors that was reportedly on Marvel's radar to play the Ancient One, along with Morgan Freeman and Tilda Swinton. But we all know who got chosen for the role. So I thought he would make a better Master Khan instead.

So guys, here's my Iron Fist fan cast cast. What do you think? Do you have some of your own choices? Let me know down in the usual place!

You know, I think it's best summed up by this comment I found: "Holy crap is this article the laziest form of journalism i might have ever read. Just to correct one big thing (or the MANY erroneous things) in here: The Last of the Mohicans is based on a book written in 1826 by James Fenimore Cooper. The protagonist, Hawkeye, is NOT a Mohican, you idiot. He is purposely a caucasian, raised by indians. The "last" Mohican referred to in the title is not Hawkeye, but his adopted father, Chingachgook. And one of the major themes of the story is that the Mohicans have been extinguished (like many native tribes) as the British and French moved in and set these tribes against each other, and Chingachgook is the last of his kind (once his blood son is killed). So, to cast Hawkeye as an indian would be completely throwing away the entire point of the book. Do you even read before spouting off? Perhaps we should go back and undo all of literature and history while we are at it. Here is an idea - instead of spending all your time on your high horse (which is stunningly politically-incorrect - "yeah, let's automatically cast an Asian for the martial arts roll!") you should actually do your homework before you start throwing shit against the wall. God, journalism has fallen so far." -JFC's Ghost

Cool fancast, Donnie Yen needs another comic book role, although he did have a cameo in Blade 2.
He should have been the ANcient One in Dr Strange.

Keep up the good work.

Great casting @ Ultimate!

Gotta say anything with Maggie Q in is a ^5 from me :p

I did a Daredevil casting years back with her in but never published it.

Anyways, I can see your Iron Fist pick, real good actor and Van Damme, heck yeah. In fact all your castings are spot on, thumbs from me. :)
