My MCU: Phase One - The Plan

My MCU: Phase One - The Plan

This is the plan for Phase One of my ideal Marvel Cinematic Universe, in which I will write out the synopses for films and cast them, and heck, I might even write a few full-on scripts for my favorites. To catch a preview of the movies on my slate, hit the link.

By clicking the link, I can only guess that you have some interest in where I will take my MCU. First of all, I am assuming that Marvel has sold the rights to the X-Men, Fantastic Four, and most other non-Avenger characters to Fox, however Fox is on board with making a unified universe for these characters to share. This is so that the characters not on the Avengers will still have movies that advance the plot of the entire universe and so that the characters are given the degree of separation that they have in the comics.

In terms of tone, I am electing to go with a darker, more realistic tone than Marvel currently has.

The Slate of Films (by order of release date in the fictional universe that I have created):

  • X-Men (Fox)
  • Hulk (Disney)
  • The First Avenger: Captain America (Disney)
  • S.H.I.E.L.D. Season One (Netflix)
  • Fantastic Four (Fox)
  • Spider-Man (Disney)
  • Iron Man (Disney)
  • X2: Mutants United (Fox)
  • X-Force Investigations (FX)
  • Thor (Disney)
  • Ant-Man (Disney)
  • The Avengers (Disney)
  • S.H.I.E.L.D. Season Two (Netflix)

Since you've all been so kind in reading this, I'd like to present the first official casting announcement:

Armie Hammer as Captain Steve Rodgers
Captain America as Armie Hammer

Armie Hammer as Steve Rogers/Captain America
Official Shortlist:
Chris Evans, Matt Bomer, and Garrett Hedlund

As someone who does prefer DC over Marvel (don't get me wrong, I do love both), I will also be making my ideal DCCU, so look forward to that!

Would've probably been better to not reveal your plan to everyone. Whatever though.

And wouldn't it be smarter and easier to make it so in your "fictional universE" all of the characters belong to the same studio so they can cross over.

And some of those titles are just SO original.

The First Avenger: Captain America
X2: Mutants United

That's straight up bs yo.

@Kong In the fictional universe, the studios do cross over their movies, though in order to make more movies they both work on the projects. Also, I know unoriginal the titles are, but I think marketing teams are probably better at making the names than I am.

It's not like you're trying to distribute these movies.

If you're trying to make your OWN MCU make it your own. Marketing teams name their movies based off the contents of the story.

Obviously is the same names can apply, the stories must be the same too.

And "The First Avenger" worked because next year the Avengers was coming out. Avengers is so far removed form that movie it doesn't work well.

And you AT LEAST could've made it X-Men: Mutants United or just titled it The First Avenger.

Yes, because Disney would help FOX make money.
