I am about to comit a major Superhero no-no and reveal my true identity. I am CBM user Superman78 and I have been an avid (my wife says obsessive) reader of this site since 2006. I grew up reading comic books and watching their movies so ComicBookMovie.com is a logical place for me to spend my spare time. Recently however, I have found another way to expend some of my creative energy and love of all things comic book related. I have created a comic book that will launch in June entitled "Our Grey Earth" with one of my great friends.
Here goes: My real name is Brian Dunphy. I have written, penciled and inked this story. My unfairly talented friend Drew Lammert has edited, fine tuned dialogue, and colored the story. The plan is to release a nine part arc and then bind the series into a graphic novel. Here's a little about the story:
Our narrative is set in the near future where judgement has been passed upon our species for having mistreated and abused the planet's natural resources. A long-forgotten reace of entities known as "The Greys" emerged from their subterranean dwellings to retake the planet and ensure its protection.

A long-fought war ensued and left a severly diminished human race scattered and in hiding. Some were placed in captivity for their fates to be determined by the Greys. Others were not so lucky.
A father of two children and a husband to a missing wife, the main character inevitably gets captured and must fight against all odds to reunite his loved ones. Ladiesand gents, this is not a typical apocalypse story. We are very proud of the story and the way it is being presented.
Now, we could use your help. Check out our project on Kickstarter.com and let us know what you think. The most we can ask is that you share our project. The success of this project is solely dependant upon the first issue. Our funding is more than half way complete and with your shares I'm sure we can reach our goal quickly.
