Now that there have been numeral accounts of new pulp films on the way including john carter of mars, the shadow reboot, the phantom, and the lone ranger what pulp magazine character would you like to see come alive.

#1 - operator #5

Jimmy Christopher a secret agent, codename "Operator No. 5" for the United States Intelligence armed with a skull ring and rapier fought for the american secret service.

#2 The Spider - My all time favorite

Richard Wentworth used and cloak slouch hat and twin 45 automatics to fight crime and then leaving his calling card a red spider on each victims forehead.

#3 Doc Savage

Doc Savage's real name was Clark Savage, Jr. He was a physician, surgeon, scientist, adventurer, inventor, explorer, researcher, and, as revealed in The Polar Treasure, a musician. A team of scientists assembled by his father deliberately trained his mind and body to near-superhuman abilities almost from birth, giving him great strength and endurance, a photographic memory, a mastery of the martial arts, and vast knowledge of the sciences. Doc is also a master of disguise and an excellent imitator of voices. "He rights wrongs and punishes evildoers." Dent described the hero as a mix of Sherlock Holmes' deductive abilities, Tarzan's outstanding physical abilities, Craig Kennedy's scientific education, and Abraham Lincoln's goodness. Dent described Doc Savage as manifesting "Christliness." Doc's character and world-view is displayed in his oath

#4 The Avenger

The Avenger's real name is Richard Henry Benson, a globe-trotting adventurer who "had made his millions by professional adventuring," discovering rubber in South America; leading "native armies in Java," making "aerial maps in the Congo," mining "amethysts in Australia and emeralds in Brazil" and finding gold in Alaska and diamonds in the Transvaal." Following the pulp archetype of a wealthy hero, despite an internal chronology making them (and Benson in particular) "children of the Great Depression," The Avenger's backstory gave him the funding to ultimately "support [his] crime-fighting appurtenances."
Deciding to settle down and raise a family, the first Avenger adventure ("Justice, Inc."), Benson's plans for a peaceful life as a "world-renowned industrial engineer" are shattered when his wife (Alicia) and young daughter (Alice) are killed during an airplane journey. The shock of this loss has a bizarre effect on Benson. His face becomes paralyzed while both his skin and his hair turn white, his facial flesh becoming malleable, like clay.

Doc Savage is a must for pulp heroes needing a big screen adaption.

Before I tell who I'd love to see: I feel the need to point out that The Spider was the inspiration for Stan Lee's creation of Spider-Man. He found the name of the character to be interesting.

Now for my pick. Ka-Zar. I don't know a whole lot about Pulp Heroes ((though you've just now inspired me to do more research on them)). I'd love to see Ka-Zar on film as he was portrayed in the pulp, before the Marvel universe developed him into something a little different.
