Synopsis: In the second year of his career as the Batman, Bruce Wayne is struggling to discover who he is and what needs to be done for Gotham, while the city views him with suspicion and hostility. Edward Nigma, CEO of Wayne Enterprises rival NigmaCorp is secretly a dangerous crime boss, and is moving to overthrow the other factions in Gotham and rule an empire from within the city.
Michael Fassbender as Bruce Wayne and the Batman
Credits include: Shame, Prometheus
Many people are saying that he is overused and unoriginal. My reply to that would be that he is overused for a reason because he is an exceptional actor. He digs deep into character personas and can latch on to the darker areas of a character and their issues, something important for Bruce Wayne who is a flawed and broken man.
Sean Bean as Lieutenant James Gordon
Credits include: Lord of the Rings, Sharpe
Sean Bean is a great actor, he can portray both heroes and villains well, and I feel he could convey the brotherhood between Gordon and the Batman, yet at the same time hold suspicion and possible hostility towards this vigilante stalking his city.
Eva Green as Victoria "Vicki" Vale
Credits include: Casino Royale, Camelot
Miss Green is a striking actress, who can hold a great performance in her eyes alone. She could play the sheer determination of Vicki to uncover her story on corruption, as well as the desire and attraction to the mysterious wraith known as the Batman.
Ewan McGregor as Edward Nigma
Credits include: Trainspotting, Beginners
Ewan McGregor has this innocence about him, he looks like a decent nice guy, yet can convey a very sinister character at heart. This would make him very well suited to Nigma, an intelligent man who acts as a respectable CEO of a corporation all the while moonlighting as a dangerous crime boss.
Hugh Laurie as Alfred Pennyworth
Credits include: House, A Bit of Fry and Laurie
Able to carry the humor and real world view through all of the madness, as well as the father figure and mentor role, Hugh Laurie would be able to handle the lighthearted scenes as well as more mature and dark plots.
Ron Perlman as Mr. Bane (voice)
Credits include: Sons of Anarchy, Hellboy
Ron Perlman has that rough, sinister, calculating tone to his voice that would fit well with Bane, right hand man and personal hit man to Nigma. Bane's face shouldn't be seen, his face always covered by a helmet, so a stunt double would be better for the actual body and then Perlman for the voice only.
Odette Annable as Detective Renee Montoya
Credits include: Cloverfield, House
A good actress who could convey the idealism that everything can turn out alright, even when things get worse than ever. Her character could also reference the character of Kate Kane, perhaps leading to an appearance or possible Batwoman spin-off.
Zachary Quinto as Jack Napier
Credits include: Star Trek, Heroes
A down on his luck family man who is destined for tragedy, Quinto can play the good guy that is struggling with personal demons as well as the eventual madness and evil that is to come later.
Maisie Williams as Barbara Gordon
Credits include: Game of Thrones
A capable young actress, she has shown that she has the potential to convey more to her than what appears.
