Like a lot of people I’m super excited that Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson is joining the GI Joe sequel cast, but I don’t think I’m the only one that was surprised to here that he will be playing Road Block. Not that others and I don’t feel he can pull it off, But there has to be better roles for him. Dwayne Johnson is a good action actor and can kick major ass like no other. So I mad a poll asking

What other role do you see Dwayne Johnson playing in GI Joe sequel?

Roadblock - He is one of the most prominent African-Americans in the series. Roadblock is the immensely strong Heavy Machine Gunner for the GI Joe Team. He is a gourmet chef and noted for his professionalism and pride in being a soldier. Roadblock favors the M-2 .50 HMG.

Flint - Flint is the Warrant Officer for the G.I. Joe Team. He is a Rhodes scholar and holds a degree in English literature, is a master tactician, graduated with top honors from Airborne School, Ranger School, Special Forces School and Flight Warrant Officers School.

Sgt. Slaughter - He serves as GI Joe’s special drill instructor and also engages in special missions. He is considered the best GI Joe ever.

Serpentor - built to be a new, superior leader of Cobra, he was created as a "super soldier", intended to lead and inspire the troops while Cobra Commander remained in power.

Hell be great as Roadblock, but he would make the perfect Gung-Ho, Gung Ho is Cajun and his skin tone in the art work is close to Dwaynes, plus Dwayne already rocked the goatee in Faster, and he pulls it off well.

The first suffered from an argueably bad director and the writers strike timing didn't help things, but at least it was more coherant than Revenge of The Fallen. Both are "entertaining" but there's no reason why, story wise, that a gi joe movie should suck.

I think they should recast his role. I could see him as Flint.

The Rock would be kick-ass as Seargant Slaughter. But they must recast Duke no matter what (Channing Tatum sucked elephant schlong as Duke).
