The MCU: What If? - Merging Studios

What if Sony and Fox had come to agreement with Disney and Marvel Studios to join forces and create a bigger universe? How would this work without screwing up continuity? Well...read this!

Hi, welcome to my first ever article! I've been meaning to do this for while but never thought about anything the write about until now. Anyway, I'm one of those suckers that believe one day, just one frickin' day, that Marvel Studios would be able to incorporate all their characters in their cinematic universe. Either by some how obtaining all the film rights back from their missing characters or a merger between studios to form one big Marvel production studio. However if this were to happen how the hell would you bring these characters with current franchises to an already established MCU?

To me Secret Wars is a quick fix but I think a logical way to tie these established franchises to create a complete MCU.

A Multiverse

I know this is a DC thing but I think it would make sense for the established franchises to be known as alternate time lines or a multiverse. It would explain why Spider-Man, The Fantastic Four, and X-Men weren't present during the "Battle of New York" or didn't show during The Lizard's attack on NYC. They would have existed in their own parallel universe completely unaware of these threats that were happening in each of their own realities. Marvel has been known to try to infuse stories with scientific facts as well as stretching those facts. How about applying this theory and making it so in this movie universe.

The Beyonder

The Beyonder, as you all know, wrangles up the Marvel superheroes to be transported into a planet called Battle World. This planet is a creation of the Beyonder himself and is powerful enough to flick Galactus away with ease. To dwarf these feats he was shown to swipe a whole galaxy away with extreme ease. Surely a being with that much power would be able to transport our multiversal(?) heroes and villains onto this planet with no problem.

Story

The story would follow along the lines of the original story but tweaked so that it would dive into the certain problems that would arise with dealing with a whole batch of truly sinister foes as well as the turmoil within each others groups. It would be a challenge to team up and trust one another in battle. Heroes might clash with other heroes and the same going with villains. This would already establish relationships between the chosen superheroes that would be expanded upon in later films.

The End/The Beginning

All this would lead to a very huge end that would change everyone involved forever. Things would eventually go so down hill that an act of desperation heroes and villains become allies and work to destroy the Beyonder. After an epic battle between the all powerful being, the Beyonder is killed and the consequences are astronomical. Since the Beyonder had brought them all together they had become part of the same universe for the time being. The result of the Beyonder's death causes the multiverse snap and combines all existing realities into one. Having this consequence would allow key people/events in each franchises mythos to remain while creating a new and complete MCU.

Well thanks for reading! If you even did but if you did leave a comment. Did this article suck? Is my idea stupid? I'm open to all kinds of comments constructive criticism and such. Have a great day!

Or the reality altering powers of the Infinity Gauntlet could possibly bring the multiverse together if the Studios could come to an agreement...

This is a great first article. If you want. You can put this

< center > < / center >

around your images and they'll move to the middle of the page. Just don't put the spaces in and put the text between the two center things and it'll happen.

Great first article bro :)

I like this approach as it explains a lot of continuity errors that would be present if we bring these guys together. Although, the whole alternate universe thing may be tough for non-nerds to grasp.
