Michael Chiklis appeared on the syndicated Access Hollywood television series on Friday and narrated a segment on his makeup transformation into the Thing for the Fantastic Four movie.

"Every morning the masochists in makeup spent more than three hours strapping me in more than 60 pounds worth of stuff," Chiklis said. "And if that wasn't enough, this get-up was so thick, I felt like I was trapped."

"I knew going in that playing the Thing would be a physical challenge, but what I didn't know it was going to be a psychological challenge, too. It got so bad that I had to see a psychiatrist to get around the claustrophobic feelings this thing gave me."
