Description Of FANTASTIC FOUR Logo From CinemaCon; Miles Teller Talks Playing MR. FANTASTIC

Just a couple of Fantastic Four news tidbits for you here. Steven Weintraub (from Collider) has a description of the new Fantastic Four logo shown at CinemaCon yesterday, and Miles Teller reiterates his excitement over being cast as Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic.

The logo for Josh Trank's Fantastic Four film was revealed at CinemaCon yesterday, and here is a description of it courtesy of Steven Weintraub:

From this description it sounds not dissimilar perhaps to the logo for the 2007 movie Rise of the Silver Surfer.

In other news, in an interview for his new film Divergent, Miles Teller (Mr. Fantastic) briefly reiterated his excitement over being cast in the film:

Miles:
I’m really excited about “Fantastic Four.” I’m liking the idea of this character who’s been established since my dad was a kid and getting to put my stamp on it.

He and his fellow co-star (Jai Courtney) also joked about Australians taking all the main roles in American action movies, when asked why actors like Hugh Jackman, Sam Worthington, etc. have been having so much success:

Jai: I don’t know. It’s a question I get asked a lot. Someone said to me recently that they think American men have a different idea of what it is to be masculine. I don’t know how much truth there is to that, but there is a bit of a patent immerging.

Miles: They are taking a lot of our freakin’ roles, I’ll tell you that! Thank god Captain America is American.

Fantastic Four, directed by Josh Trank and starring Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan, and Jamie Bell, is slated for release on June 19, 2015.

Lots of people do. Plenty more will when it's actually the year of release. Or when there are actual images to base opinions off of.

As long as Fox stays out of Trank's ass, this could be good.

@nova exactly.....I dream that something comes out one day for this movie that the production has completely blown up from the inside or that they decided to make the Thing pink or something. That'd be hilarious.

For anyone interested, Chris Evans supports the MBJ casting:

"I think it’s great that they’re picking it up again... There’s a lot more story to tell. And I think Michael B. Jordan is just a phenomenal actor."

He's an amazing actor, with so much depth and he really commits to a role.
I happen to think he looks so much like Reed, it's a shame he's not older.
But if they wanted to cast talent, then they definitely got it.

I would feel better about the new FF "movie" if Roger Corman was directing it.

This movie is starting to grow on me...

I've gotten past the interracial siblings casting bit, as I'm sure Trank will handle the material with a careful approach.

I really like Jamie Bell as an actor and think it's an inspired choice given his MoCap work on Tintin.

Someone mentioned Miles Teller having a very "punchable" face... I think that's a very cool point because he does look like Reed in certain interpretations and comes off very smug, but not cocky.

Kate Mara is hot.

My one hope is that MBJ doesn't portray Johnny as some slightly "hood, thuggish" type with mad $wagga... MAJOR eye roll if they do...

@xfan, because he's black right? Because all black people are hood and thuggish right? Smh.

Implying that black actors don't have range... Don't worry, this isn't a Michael Bay film. No "jiggaboos" caricatures in this, I can promise you that.

I hate movies that are only created so rights can be retained.
CaptainComicBook
CaptainComicBook - 3/28/2014, 10:45 AM
There is no burning desire from anyone for this movie to be rebooted so soon. They're doing this just because they have the rights. Remember what happened last time FOX made a movie just because they had the rights?
Equivocal
Equivocal - 3/28/2014, 10:45 AM
why fox would do something like that, shock value ? retain rights ?? to give us the middle finger to the fan base ???

and now is OFFICIAL:

I'm boycotting fox movies on that summer once this atrocity is fully finished......

Unless this movie makes an obvious connection to the X-Men films then it can GTFO. Aint no body got time for a stand alone film about an boring overdone team. At least Sony has plans make a "Spidey Universe".
