Actor Doug Jones (Hellboy) recently visited Minnesota & Milwaukee during promotion for his latest film "Pan's Labyrinth". While there, he also stopped at a local comic book shop where he provided eager fans with free autographs and posters. CBM quickly took the opportunity to ask the actor a brief question about FF2.

ComicBookMovie.com: In addition to playing the Silver Surfer in Fantastic Four 2, will you also be providing his voice?

Doug Jones: "I don't know...I'm not sure, the studio [20th Century Fox] is very involved right now", replied Jones.

Roughly two weeks ago FF2 director Tim Story posed a question on his blog asking fans who they thought should voice SS, though now it seems no one is entirely certain.

Unfortunately we weren't able to get more information from Jones, but we did spot him shifting through some Hellboy titles which makes sense since Hellboy 2 begins filming this April in Budapest. Could this mean research for the various characters he's been rumored as playing?

Fans who were lucky enough to speak to Jones during his small promotional tour are also welcome to contact us with their stories.
