After his father is murdered and village destroyed, Conan ventures into an unforgiving world where he survives as a thief, pirate, and warrior. On his path of wanton adventure and women, Conan chances upon the warlord responsible for his tribe's destruction. As he tracks Khalar Zym, Conan battles monsters, Zym's henchmen, and Marique, a powerful witch.


Speaking to SuperHeroHype at this week's San Diego Comic-Con, Jason Momoa talks in detail about the differences between the book version of Conan The Barbarian and the previous film incarnations. Watch the video below...



Starring Jason Momoa, Rachel Nichols, Stephen Lang and Rose McGowan, Conan The Barbarian slashes into theaters August 19th, later this summer!

this movie is gonna suck. like seriously from the preview of it id rather watch arnold as conan than this guy.

I'm hoping Rachel Nichols is topless. Which is likely since she's Conan's love interest and Conan DOES apparently have sex with SOMEONE, so....:D

this movie be awesome. hell he was giving out signed autographs poster yesterday. thou i missed it, the booth is awesome. Booth 3279!

I think the movie will be a really good one. Jason will be brand-new to the big screen, yes, but you can definately see how his craft has developed and grown from Baywatch to North Shore to SGA and to his most recent Game of Thrones (HBO). Though his run with the HBO series was short, he did a phenomenal job with the character. If you've not seen it I really do recommend you do.

I've also caught his own short movie Notes from the Wall which he co-wrote & directed, and I've seen the trailer and teaser for another short film he has co-written & produced called Road to Paloma. Stephen Lang makes an appearance in this one too. Jason seems to have passion for his craft and and evolving depth in his work. Familiarizing yourself with his work will give 'Conan' fans encouragement about this upcoming release!

I'm looking forward to it!
