Ok, i know what your all thinking, but lets look at the facts before anyone gets too exited!

According to Wilson, the pair were indeed on route to meet with DC. The actual text of the message, posted on Twitter somewhere around 3:00 PM EST today, was as follows: “@rainnwilson and @nathanfillion are about to go meet with DC COMICS! Could be some good shit percolating…”

YES FILLION'S GONNA BE [frick]ING GREEN LANTERN!

Ah if only! But its not outside the realms of possibility. There was a huge fan backing for Fillion to play Hal Jordan after that amazing fan made trailer did the rounds. Is it possible DC/Warner bros took notice? And Wilson? Well maybe he's been cast as Kilowog or something!



But of course that's just the best case scenario. There’s also the possibility that Wilson and Fillion could be meeting to discuss voicing characters in one of DC’s upcoming animated films. With today’s big rumor regarding an animated “Jonah Hex” short possibly kicking off a new line of similar animated short films based on DC Universe characters, there would seem to a lot of opportunities for Wilson and Fillion to be the voice of well-known DC characters. Fillion previously voiced the character of Steve Trevor in DC’s animated “Wonder Woman” movie, so there’s certainly a precedent.

Who knows. What do you folks think?

For starters, he seems to like comics with his voice work in some animated roles including Robot Chicken (Flash). So I'm all for it. I think the comic companies are begining to learn their lesson, and will start hiring fans of the comics. After all, we're the ones who religously post comment after comment that the fanboys and those new to a title look to, to see if they should spend their hard earned money in this tough economy, on a movie that very well might suck(because producers are sell outs).

I don't know about Fillion becoming Green Lantern, but he was awesome in Serinity! I still think Bradley Cooper would make a great Hal Jordan!

Gunsmith@ that trailer got alot of play and publicity. Sparked alot of chatter too so I wouldn't be surprised if it got the attention of DC. And they have worked with him in the past so this is all entirely possible.

Ror@ I'll stick with wishful thinking rather than dying dreams because after seeing that fan-made trailer... I think I'll be really dissappointed if it's not Nathan Fillion.

Oh yeah, im sticking with the hope! Im just ready for a disappointment too. They will prob cast a pretty boy flavor of the month..but im sure it will still be a great movie, i mean if they [frick] up that premise there really is no hope for thrm!

Ror@ They don't usualy pick pretty boy flavors of the month for the hero. Bale, routh, jackman, Eric bana, even Robert Downey, not one of them a pretty boy flavor of the month. They may go big name for villian but hero they usually don't. They can't afford to pay a High salaried guy cause the budget will be so huge.

Thats a lot of different "theys" over many years there pooch! The "They" i mean is Warners/DC who will be banking on GL to rejuvenate the comic book movie so these movies can compete with what Marvel are doing with Iron Man 2 etc. Also, Bana, Downey, bale would all have demanded bigger salaries even back then than a lot of young guys just coming off big blockbusters.

and wb/dc are the ones who picked bale and routh. Niether od them were flavor of the month. And certainly routh couldn't demand any kind of salary since he was a complete unknown

Nathan's Twitter seems even more positive, even says he got a DC encyclopedia.. sounds like he might be studying for a role!! why would voice work need an encyclopedia?

Wow after seeing that trailer I am so for Fillion as GL.

Fillion was awesome in Firefly/Serenity and he is really good in Castle, great actor the best part about Slither was him.
