“After being held in a coma-like state for fifteen years, vampire Selene (Kate Beckinsale) learns that she has a fourteen-year-old vampire/Lycan hybrid daughter, Nissa, and when she finds her they must stop BioCom from creating super Lycans that will kill them all.”


I'm not a big fan of these movies at all, in fact I think a few stylish visuals aside they pretty much suck. Still, they do seem to be very popular and that trailer was decent. Who knows!

Dierected by Måns Mårlind and Björn Stein, Underworld: Awakening stars Kate Beckinsale, Charles Dance, Michael Ealy, India Eisley and Stephen Rea is slated for release January 20, 2012.

The first one was okay, but honestly the only reason why I watch these flicks is because of Kate Beckinsale.

Michael is probably dead. The humans most likely killed him when they captured Selene. This movie looks pretty awesome and I love all the Underworld films.

The thing that I like about this one is that we are making the humans badass and not just wimpy victums.

I'm looking forward to Kate's return to the series. And true, while not very good movies they are fun in a guilty pleasure popcorn sort of way. Hell, my wife even enjoys them.
