Halloween Kills had its world premiere at the Venice International Film Festival last week, and although reviews were mixed (it currently sits at 59% on Rotten Tomatoes), horror fans are still anxiously anticipating the return of "The Shape."
A batch of TV spots have now been uploaded to YouTube, and while some reuse shots from the previous trailers, there's quite a bit of new footage - some of which might be considered a little spoilery.
For one, the returning Lindsey Wallace (Kyle Richards) finds herself staring into the black eyes of the boogeyman that terrorized her as a child, and we can't imagine this encounter ending well for her. Another shot shows Karen (Judy Greer) holding Michael Myers' mask, and we actually get a quick glimpse of his face in the background.
Has Michael grabbed another mask (a pumpkin, perhaps?), or is his face deliberately obscured for the purposes of this clip?
Check out the spots below, and let us know what you think.
Minutes after Laurie Strode (Curtis), her daughter Karen (Judy Greer) and granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) left masked monster Michael Myers caged and burning in Laurie’s basement, Laurie is rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, believing she finally killed her lifelong tormentor. But when Michael manages to free himself from Laurie’s trap, his ritual bloodbath resumes. As Laurie fights her pain and prepares to defend herself against him, she inspires all of Haddonfield to rise up against their unstoppable monster. The Strode women join a group of other survivors of Michael’s first rampage who decide to take matters into their own hands, forming a vigilante mob that sets out to hunt Michael down, once and for all. Evil dies tonight.
Halloween Kills slices its way into theaters this October.
